Posted: 21 Mar 2011 01:13 PM PDT Dress a Jordan in Infrared and it’s basically an automatic winner. Once thought to be a special team shoe for the playoffs, it turns our this sneaker is the Jordan Fly Wade, a signature model for Agent D3. The Heat guard has been the face of the brand since switching from Converse before last season, but has worn an Air Jordan model since then. Dwyane Wade will likely break out this sneaker when the post-season begins, utilizing its Air-cushioned heel and Infrared details as he and LeBron attempt to lead their team to a title. Is his first signature a step in the right direction? Jordan Fly Wade “Infrared” © Alex Kroviak for NiceKicks.com, 2011. | Permalink | 2 comments | Add to del.icio.us |

Sneaker Showdown: Air Jordan 11 “Cool Grey” vs Air Jordan 5 “Wolf Grey” Posted: 21 Mar 2011 12:13 PM PDT Credit the Air Jordan 11 “Cool Grey” with starting the current rend of grey kicks with which we find ourselves enthralled. Cool Grey has since appeared on all sorts of kicks, as has Wolf Grey, another Nike and Jordan hue. Most notably, the Air Jordan 5 will wear Wolf Grey nubuck (as well as Light Graphite) when it releases on May 14th. With both of these classic kicks releasing in non-OG, grey colorways in a six month span, it begs the question: which is better? Check out both kicks and then vote in the poll below.

Posted: 21 Mar 2011 11:58 AM PDT Refined, elegant and able to be rocked with most any style, the Russell has long been the fan favorite of the Clae lineup. Its making its case to stay atop the ranking with its latest drop, which is available now at select store. Black denim fills out the quarter panel, tongue and toe box, allowing matching leather to complete the upper. A white sole sits underneath and a yellow stamped leather tag adds some color to the midfoot. You can pick up a pair now at St. Alfred. Todd Bratrud x Nike SB Dunk High “4/20 II” Teaser Posted: 21 Mar 2011 11:28 AM PDT Last year’s Todd Bratrud x Nike SB Dunk Hi “Skunk” was undoubtedly one of the most sought-after releases of 2010. To capitalize on that success, Todd Bratrud has linked up with Nike, once again, to supply fiends with another potent shoe. Recently, Todd Bratrud tweeted this teaser image of this upcoming design, along with the words, “Some of Y’all might enjoy this…” From what we can see, this teaser image reveals an all-over, unique design on the insole that supposedly depicts clouds of smoke. Stay tuned for more information regarding this April release. RELATED: Happy 420! Video: MJ Promises UNC Players “Anything They Want” with Final Four Berth Posted: 21 Mar 2011 10:28 AM PDT Upon greeting North Carolina Tarheel hoopers before their NCAA tourney game this past weekend, Michael Jordan had some messages for his alma mater’s current players. After first poking fun at a player for wearing Kobe Bryant’s kicks (he later laughed off the statement, saying that the player could wear whatever he wants, so long as UNC is winning), Michael checked up on the sneaker game of the rest of the team. The players asked His Airness if they could have some “Cool Grey” Air Jordan 11s, to which MJ responded, “Get to the Final Four, you get anything you want.” As if there weren’t enough incentive already. © Alex Kroviak for NiceKicks.com, 2011. | Permalink | 26 comments | Add to del.icio.us |
