Nike Dunk Low White Patent Fall 2009 Preview
Dunk Lows from Nike are always nice and probably these are the best ones to come out this year so far. The two sneakers come in a white upper with leather that is patent. Below them are red and green midsoles. This release comes as a part of the Nike Sportswear 2009 collection. This will be released in the coming weeks. I hope there will be more updates to this as the release date nears. [EUKicks]

The Chukka Challengers: Vans Chukka Imitators

The Chukka Challengers: Vans Chukka Imitators

After seeing the Jordan Campus Chukka hit the web last week, it got us thinking about how many footwear companies have used the Vans Chukka as inspiration for their own Chukka-like silhouettes.

Though the simplistic Chukka style has been around since the 50’s, Vans has become the front runner in the classy silhouette. The name Chukka originated from the sport of Polo and somehow stuck over the years. The simple 3 eyelet lace setup has varied since the style originated, as has the simple and sophisticated look. We came across a number of companies that have taken a shot at their own version, some with success, some with epic failure.

Click here to take a look at those shoes that have taken inspiration from the Chukka. Let us know your favorite in the comments section.

Kicks On Court: Did ‘Penny’ Return for Orlando in Game 3?

Posted: 25 May 2009 07:30 AM PDT

Kicks On Court

When watching the Orlando Magic play, you cannot help but think back to the last time they were good. If you recall, the Magic made it to the 1995 NBA Finals while being lead by a young duo in Shaquille O’Neal and Penny Hardaway. Last night, our Kicks On Court spotted Penny Hardaway…well, more or less, just a pair of his shoes in action on the hardwood.

In game 3 of the Orlando Magic-Cleveland Cavaliers series, guard Courtney Lee laced up the Nike Air Penny III White/Royal Blue. Does Lee possess the talent and ability Penny Hardaway once had? No. However, it is nice to see Penny’s sneakers still being worn in Orlando’s arena. In addition, Hardaway would not be opposed to Lee wearing his kicks with the way he held his own in game 3.
