Though not as rugged as the Mid Skool 77s we saw recently, these Vans Sk8 His are also members of the “Hiker” family. Both shoes’ uppers are constructed with suede majorities and canvas quarter panels, leather accent stripes and vulcanized soles. Details include multicolor laces and boot-inspired top eyelets. Nike Air Max Full Court

Posted: 12 Oct 2010 10:43 AM PDT

Nike Air Max Full Court

Sneakers such as the Nike Zoom Kobe VI, the Nike LeBron 8 and the Nike Zoom KDIII, are at the forefront of every sneaker enthusiast’s mind (basketball-wise); however, there are a few more performance-based, basketball sneakers that Nike plans on releasing from the vault soon. Specifically, the newly-designed Nike Air Max Full Court is set to hit retailers this December for $75.

At a first glance, one may be reminded of the Nike LeBron 8 thanks to its similar bulky build, flywire-laced panels and the lacing panel structure; yet, it contains distinctive performance/style attributes of its own. The Air Max Full Court is constructed of synthetic leather with a touch of mesh on the tongue. An injected Air unit is noticeable on the heel, while a Phylon midsole provides maximum cushioning. As stated earlier, look for the Nike Air Max Full Court, in this Black/White-Varsity Red colorway, to hit retailers in December.

Nike Finalizes Deal to Provide NFL Jerseys & Apparel

Posted: 12 Oct 2010 09:58 AM PDT

Nike Finalizes Deal to Provide NFL Jerseys & Apparel

According to CNBC, the NFL apparel deal that Nike was close to completing yesterday has been finalized. Beginning in April of 2012, the Swoosh will be the lone insignia appearing on professional football jerseys and official on-field apparel. Other brands like New Era, who will own the rights to NFL hats, also secured rights for various branding and apparel deals, but Nike remains the biggest name on the short list. Under Armour will continue to outfit NFL combine athletes. Though the rights takeover is 18 months away, don’t be surprised if Nike begins ramping up its training and football efforts further very soon.
