The Terminator Hi is a Nike original that releases in a slew of colorways every year. The last pair we showed you back in April featured a summer-appropriate suede texture makeup in khaki/white-red. Although the summer heat has yet to subside, Nike has decided to release several more pairs of this 1985-released shoe. The three pairs featured here have a common, unifying factor in the use of a leather upper that is primarily white. A second color is used on the swoosh, inner-liner, tongue, toe box and heel to add contrast to these tri-toned sneakers. Colors used include dark charcoal, blue and army green. Lastly, finishing touches such as dual-toned laces and brightly-colored outsoles (mint, orange, red), complete this sneaker. Are these simple yet time-tested colorways something you would add to your closet? More pictures below. Nike Huarache 2010 Chris Bosh PE Posted: 14 Jun 2010 12:28 PM PDT
This summer 2010 season will undoubtedly shape the NBA for years to come. Chris Bosh will be one of the most coveted big men in the game as contract talks begin in a few weeks. Last year, many sneaker heads showed enthusiasm for the Chris Bosh’s Nike Huarache 2009 PE. However, many have expressed uncertainty for the redesigned Nike Huarache 2010. In this PE designed for Chris Bosh, color patterns and materials are very similar to that of Portland Trailblazer’s Lamarcus Aldridge. White leather is used for most of the upper, while minimal black accents can be seen on the side panels, tongue, and outsole. A final hint of Toronto Raptor red can be seen on the midsole, tongue tag and piping on the Nike Swoosh. It is unknown if these will ever hit shelves. Winners and Losers from Conference Realignment Posted: 14 Jun 2010 11:58 AM PDT There has been a lot of talk on sports networks, radio stations, and blogs about the college sports conference realignment as of late. The catalyst to the conversation and controversy of the impact on business and revenue began when the University of Nebraska announced they would be leaving the Big XII for the Big Ten. This soon followed announcements by several other major programs jumping ship from their respective conferences looking to join something bigger and better. While we could spend hours talking about the implications this realignment has on the different universities revenues from television rights, there are some definitive winners and losers on the footwear and apparel front as well. It’s no secret that collegiate licensed apparel and goods is a multi-million dollar industry. We saw how important and cutthroat the business side of endorsement deals is with education institutions last fall. In detail, the conflict involving Marcus Jordan’s refusal to wear Adidas shoes though his school was officially outfitted by The Three Stripes comes to mind. Some brands stand to win and lose big with the imminent dissolution of the Big XII and schools jumping to different conferences and markets. Recently, we showed you two pairs of Blazer Lows in the “Quilted Satin” pack. This Nike Blazer Mid just surfaced, sporting a similar design scheme and an equally eye-catching colorway. On this pair, a brilliant purple shade is used, with gold stitching and metallic silver leather appearing on the Nike Swoosh and heel tab. A mixture of satin and leather is in place on the upper, and a white vulcanized sole sits underneath. Posted: 14 Jun 2010 09:58 AM PDT To introduce the new Pilot, Supra chose to drape seersucker all over its new silhouette. Following in the footsteps of the Cuttler, the Pilot owns a higher cut silhouette with a casual overall design. This colorway will hit shelves mid-July, just in time for the second half of Summer pool party season. Matching the blue stripes on the seersucker material are navy blue metal eyelets and waxed laces, while a simple white sole matches the other half of the print.
