Special skate-inspired materials have been applied to sneakers for some time now in attempt to bring longevity to the kicks one skates in. Over the past couple of years, Supra has tried its hand at this method by applying TUF technology to certain silhouettes such as the Skytop, the Vaider and the TK Society. Now, Vans will attempt to incorporate skate-ready attributes on some of its shoes by introducing the “Tuff Tech” Pack. The Vans “Tuff Tech” Pack consists of three rarely-seen models including the Rowley 99, the Versa and the TNT II Mid Cup. In addition to the newly-incorporated Tuff material, Vans added a 3M reflective design and bright, contrasting laces to each model. In detail the Versa owns green laces, the Rowley 99s feature yellow laces and the TNT II Mid Cup uses blue laces. Lastly, each sneaker in the “Tuff Tech” Pack is finished with a white, vulcanized rubber sole. Look for this trifecta to hit Vans retailers later this year. View the pack in its entirety below. The attention surrounding James’s Nike Air Max LeBron VII has seemingly died down ever since Lebron exited the playoffs; however, there is much more basketball to be played now that the summer is here. With that said, we have spotted a Nike Air Max LeBron VII that created exclusively for the AAU basketball teams James sponsors during the summer. At a first glance, this shoe may look very familiar seeing that it was revealed at the second annual Golt Sole event in Cleveland in mid-April. This colorway, which is exclusive to LeBron’s King James Shooting Stars AAU team, features a colorway that is very similar to the original Nike Air Max LeBron VII. Black/white flywire side panels are off set by a white leather base and multiple red hints throughout the upper. It also contains a red, full-length Air sole unit and a white outsole. If you’re ever in the same gym with the King James Shooting Stars AAU team, don’t be surprised to see them in these. Until then, view detailed photos below. This week, we learned that the Air Jordan 6 “Infrared” Pack will officially hit Stateside retailers on June 19th, 2010 for $310. Who else excited to finally hear a solid confirmation on potentially one of the better sneaker packs ever? Rappers Drake and Wale were spotted wearing the Air Jordan 8 Ray Allen PE and the “Air Attack” Nike Air Total Max Uptempo, respectively. Having recently released a collaborative Authentic, it’s fitting that they follow it up with a look at their Chukka Boot for this Fall. The upper relies on a mock croc skin in black.Waxed laces further the luxurious feel, while a white vulcanized sole sits underneath. A rubber toe cap has been added, which is not a standard feature on this model of Vans shoe. A large label appears on the tongue with both brands’ names proudly displayed. We have spotted a few, nice colorways of the Nike Blazer AC this year including wicked purple, black/white and grey/3M. However, we have spotted a rare, size 9 Nike Blazer AC Hi sample that is available in an auction on eBay. This particular Nike Blazer AC Hi features an attribute we have never witnessed on this autoclave model. We’re used to seeing a white, autoclave sole on the Blazer AC; however, this pair actually owns a colored sole. In detail, the sole is colored in solar red and matches the stitched border and the inner lining which possess the same color. The rest of the base is done up in dark grey suede, while the five-strap construction on the midoot is comprised of leather. As stated earlier, this size 9 is available in an auction on eBay. | What They Wore: Celebrity Sneaker Stalker Posted: 21 May 2010 05:13 PM PDT In the week’s edition on Celebrity Sneaker Stalker, we spotted a celeb that is making a triumphant return to Celebrity Sneaker Stalker and the streets in the form of Gucci Mane who rocked a fresh pair of Air Max 95s. We also spotted newcomers such as Tank, B.o.B., and Wyclef who took who wore a fresh pair of DC Admirals. Wale, Jay-Z and Young Jeezy all returned rocking their choice of Nikes. With that said, let us know who rocked the best kicks in this week’s Celebrity Sneaker Stalker.

| Posted: 21 May 2010 04:58 PM PDT The Hyperfuse has flown relatively under the radar, despite the amount of screen time its number one supporter, Rajon Rondo, has received on Sports Center lately. A new colorway of this Nike has been spotted and should be available in stores in the near future. The majority of this colorway is white, with leather and mesh combining on the upper. The same style of mesh stretches over the black midsole, matching the Swoosh perfectly. From the looks of this sneaker, it’s sure to set the bar for lightweight hoops sneakers and the mesh should help with breathability.
