Bodega x Converse Chuck Taylor “The Dynasty Continues”

Posted: 08 Jun 2010 12:58 PM PDT

Just yesterday, we showed you the UNDEFEATED-assisted Converse Chuck Taylor that was designed for you LA Lakers fans out there. As for you ‘Beat LA’ fans, Converse has hooked up with a Boston retailer Bodega for a Celtics-associated Chuck Taylor.

While the UNDEFEATED x Converse Chuck Taylor features the message, ‘You Can’t Beat LA’, the Bodega x Converse Chuck Taylor reminds us of Boston’s multiple championships. The all-white canvas base is offset by the words, ‘The Dynasty Continues’ in green script. Below the message, Bodega’s logo (simply the name in cursive) appears in black. 50 pairs of this Chuck Taylor will be given away today at the Boston retailer along with a green ‘One More to Go’ tee.

Peak Shane Battier Signature

Posted: 08 Jun 2010 12:28 PM PDT

Peak Shane Battier Signature

Shane Battier was one of the first NBA players to sign with a Chinese footwear company when he made the move to Peak a few years ago. Since then, he’s worn his signature model on the court in a number of colorways. Here, we get a close look at this strapped sneaker in a “Home” look.

White leather provides a base for the upper, while a textured red is used along the sides and on the forefoot strap. To match the outsole, the collar and liner are all black. Various gold designs can be seen throughout, including the logo on the quarter panel. Of all of the Chinese sneaker company silhouettes we’ve seen, is this one of the better models?

Footwear Faceoff: Drake vs. Drake

Posted: 08 Jun 2010 11:58 AM PDT

If you missed Drake in last week’s Rewind edition of Celebrity Sneaker Stalker, consider this comeback season. Hip Hop was celebrated in New York this weekend in a big way with VH1 Hip-Honors filmed Saturday night and the staple Summer Jam festivities taking place on Sunday. Aubrey made the most of each event performing and breaking out two seldom seen Air Jordan 3s. Which colorway of these sneakers did he rock better? Let us know by voting in the Footwear Faceoff poll.

Nike Air Foamposite One “Metallic Pewter”

Nike Air Foamposite One "Metallic Pewter"

A new Nike product number has surfaced for the beloved Air Foamposite One, as has as an expected release date in early 2011. Attached to the number is a color code, as well: Metallic Pewter.

While we’ve seen that color on leather shoes before, like the Air Jordan 1 “Pewter,” this shoe will be the first to utilize Foam and the color simultaneously. Though no pictures have surfaced of the shoe itself, does this idea have your imagination running wild and your money burning a hole in your pocket?

New Balance M577 Grey/Navy

New Balance M577 Grey/Navy

A new colorway of the classic New Balance 577 has been spotted overseas and with any luck, will be available in the States soon.

The majority of the upper is grey suede with matching mesh on the ankle and toe box. Navy blue leather is used on the heel, quarter panel and the heel cup bears the same hue. This shoe goes the opposite direction of the last two 577s we saw, which used white, tan and one of two bright accent colors.

Asics Gel Lyte III Black/Yellow-Grey

Posted: 08 Jun 2010 09:58 AM PDT

The “Super Red” Asics Gel Lyte III is undoubtedly the best colorway seen on the brand’s darling model, and we will continue to see exquisite colorways on this model. While we impatiently wait the “Navy-Aqua” Asics Gel Lyte III, we have now spotted another Asics Gel Lyte III colorway that is now available at Proper.

This particular Gel Lyte III features a simpler texture construction than the “Navy-Aqua” and the “Super Red” colorways. It predominately designed using synthetic leather colored in black. Multiple yellow and grey hints, such as the branding, the mesh, net-like side panels, the tongue and inner lining, give this shoe a LIVESTRONG-esque appeal. As stated earlier, this Asics Gel Lyte III Black/Yellow-Grey is now available at Proper.
