Crooks & Castles x Vans Fremont Hi White

The Crooks & Castles x Vans Fremont Hi Black was obviously a favorite seeing that it didn’t last long on the shelves. If you recall, it released back in January. Now, five months later, Vans will release the Crooks & Castles x Vans Fremont Hi White on June 6th, 2009.

First off, this sneaker will release exclusively at Crooks 8021 flagship store (see store info here) and the Crooks&Castles online store. Similar to the black colorway, this shoe also contains Gucci inspired accent colors on the ankle straps. To coincide with the ankle straps, additional green details appear on the heel panel and outsole. As stated earlier, look for the Crooks & Castles x Vans Fremont Hi White to drop on June 6th, 2009.

Jordan B’Loyal Back/Red

Posted: 29 May 2009 12:23 PM PDT

Jordan B'Loyal Back/Red

This (can we call it a retro?) latest from Jordan Brand, the B’Loyal, originally released a few years ago. As can be expected, influences from a number of classic J’s can be seen in these kicks.

The Jordan B’Loyal has the feel of a Jordan 6, with the always popular, smooth patent leather toebox. A unique heel tab made of plastic is an interesting look to say the least. Contrasting stitching is a nice touch as well.

Available July 1st. What do you think, hit or miss?

Nike Hypermax Black/Black

Nike Hypermax Black/Black

The Nike Hypermax has found a place on the feet of many NBA players throughout the Playoffs in our Kicks On Court series.

The Nike Hypermax Black/Black colorway isn’t likely to see much action in the NBA, but black on black is always a good look for the courts. Only a hint of silver finds it’s way onto these kicks in the form of very minimal accents. You can pick up this colorway at Finish Line for $130.

Livestrong x Hideout x Nike Air Footscape Woven

Having already shown you detailed shots of various sneakers from the Nike Stages Collection (see Busy P, FLOM, Mr. Cartoon) yesterday, we now have photos of the peculiar Livestrong x Hideout x Nike Air Footscape Woven. Is this the best Nike collection of 2009 so far?

As with previous Livestrong x Stages Collection sneakers, this particular Nike Air Footscape Woven contains a Black/Yellow makeup. Designed with the help of London based boutique Hideout, this shoe contains authentic horse hair on most of the upper. With that said, this shoe owns the nickname of the “Hamster”. To finish it off, this sneaker is complimented with a yellow midsole and black outsole. Look for this Livestrong x Hideout x Nike Air Footscape Woven to release in July. Who Rocked It Better?: Lil Wayne vs. Pete Wentz

Posted: 29 May 2009 08:34 AM PDT

lil-wayne-vs-pete-wentz

When it comes to placing kicks on celebrities who are in the limelight, no one does it better than Supra.

In addition to having Terry Kennedy hit a non-stop multiple city promo tour, the skate brand gifted some A-listers (hmm, Pete Wentz maybe is a B- lister) with the Supra TK Society.

Today's edition of "who rocked it better" puts rapper-turned-rocker Lil Wayne against Wentz.

Which “rock star” wore it better? Let us know in the comments and vote.

100 Styles & Running: New Summer 09 Releases

Summer’s here and 100 Styles & Running has a couple new drops with the return of the last summer’s banger, the Colston, and the limited-edition Oliver hi-top.

Day or night, the Colston is a versatile slip-on loafer with a premium leather upper with a perforated side panel set on an athletic herringbone outsole. The Oliver is a sleek hi-top that features a slimmed down silhouette, dual removable ankle straps, specially-treated premium leather uppers, and contrasting racing stripe inspired by the Mini Cooper. The Oliver is limited to 275 pairs, but both styles should be hitting retailers soon.

Nike Air Max 97 LUX “Camo”

Posted: 29 May 2009 08:23 AM PDT

Nike Air Max 97 LUX Camo

A sneaker from the Air Max line that has been overlooked by Nike for a while is the Air Max 97. The last version we saw was towards the end of last year, with the LUX Stealth colorway. Six months later, a new LUX version has arrived at Sweden’s Caliroots.

The Nike Air Max 97 LUX “Camo” features the smooth and seamless look of the LUX 97’s. The colorway is done up in a camo print of greys which results in a unique and premium runner. In addition, the material of choice is the always popular 3M colorway.

Unfortunately, the currency conversion that puts these in the $375 price range is a little hard to stomach.
