NiceKicks.com Facebook Group Contest

Posted: 22 Aug 2009 08:58 AM PDT

What’s up Nice Kickers, we want to see photos of what you have in your collection!

We will have a theme for the photos we want to see posted in the photo album of the NicKicks.com Facebook group each week. For example, last week we asked to see Jordan collections! From the Photos posted in the group we choose the top 4 collections, and then the members of the NiceKicks.com Facebook  group voted on who the winner should be. Out of our four finalists Kevin Fisher was declared the winner, and for good reason, his Jordan collection is crazy!

The winner of our weekly contest will receive a surprise from Nice Kicks.  Remember, if you missed last week’s contest, don’t worry, there will be a new theme, and contest every week.  This week we want to see collections made up of Nike Dunks. So let’s see those collections! Remember, in order to enter the contest, you need to become our Facebook friend, join the NiceKicks.com Facebook group, and post your collections in the groups’ photo album.

Nike Hyperize Performance Review

Posted: 21 Aug 2009 01:50 PM PDT

Nike Hyperize Performance ReviewState of the art lightweight basketball shoes have been a mainstay at Nike for years now. From the Air Flight Lite to the Zoom Flight 2k3 to last season's juggernaut, the Hyperdunk, Nike continues to push the envelope proving that when it comes to shoes, performance comes first. The cosmic success of the Hyperdunk would be hard to follow up, but Nike stepped up showing that creating a lightweight basketball shoe was no heavy task. Rather than start from scratch, the Nike Hyperize does an amazing job of carrying over the Hyperdunk's best features while improving on its weaknesses.

The Hyperize draws familiar cues from the Hyperdunk carrying over Flywire Technology and Lunar Lite foam. The silhouette is more or less maintained after the success of the Hyperdunk and Huarache line shoes. Other similarities include Zoom Air in the heel as well as a glass fibre, midfoot stability shank plate. The biggest changes were the use of less Flywire threads, herringbone traction,  and a wider toe box. Could the Hyperize outstep it's big brother the Hyperdunk on the court? Click here to find out.

Nike Air Max LeBron VII “Akron” More Than A Game Artist Series

Posted: 21 Aug 2009 01:26 PM PDT

Nike Air Max LeBron VII

Earlier this month, we showed you photos of the Chicago version of the Nike Air Max LeBron VII ‘More Than A Game Artist Series’. Surprisingly, the majority of you stated that it was the best LeBron VII colorway yet. However, the next installment of the ‘More Than A Game’ Series may be the most meaningful to ‘King James’.

This particular LeBron VII, designed by Akron tattoo artist James Hayden, is the Akron (LeBron’s hometown) version in the ‘More Than A Game’ Series. Obviously, at a first glance the LeBron James inspirations are numberless on this sneaker. For example, the two enlarged images on the toe box represent the Lionsgate film dubbed More Than A Game. In additon, the numbers 330 are featured on one side panel (Northeast Ohio’s area code) and the words, ‘Hold My Own‘ are featured on the other side. Click here to view the shoe in its entirety and voice your opinion on the Akron version of the “More Than A Game” Artist Series.
