Breaking out a choice pair of retros on court always deserves props, but breaking out OGs is virtually unheard of. Back in 2005 a then rookie Andre Iguodala was looking to make a splash in his first All-Star weekend facing off against a sophomore team led by LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, and Dwyane Wade. While the star studded soph team was laced in their new sigs and PEs, Iggy stole the show in a pair of original the Nike Air Foamposite One. The origin of this pair is still unknown. At the time the Foamposite One had not been retroed and would not come out again until 2007. It’s unlikely that these were samples two years ahead of their time and in a size 17. Legend has it Iguodala’s alma matter Arizona has an unreal equipment room with loads of heat. Where did he get them? We may never know. Who: Andre Iguodala

Taka Hayashi’s work for Vans Vault is always unique, original an unlike anything else on the market. His latest Sk8-Hi LX is no different. An ostrich skin panel wraps around the backside of the sneaker and touches both sides of the midfoot, holding the leather laces in place. The tweed-like material used for the toe and forefoot area meets a like-colored suede collar at the midfoot. Taka’s logo appears on the tongue and heel and his signature toe bumper is used on the off white vulcanized sole, adding the finishing touch to these great kicks. It features an Air Jordan 12-like, metallic gold mudguard combined with an open-hole, black mesh texture for the majority of the upper. We have not witnessed a lot of New Balance 577 releases since 2011 began, but we have just spotted a very nice colorway of this well-received model at select retailers worldwide. The predominance of the base is comprised of green suede and features an orange-outlined, grey New Balance logo on the side panels. To coincide with the previously mentioned logo, this 577 also features sections of grey on the toe area and collar. Other features include black mesh (toe box, collar, tongue), a ‘Made in England’ tongue logo and a grey Encap sole. View detailed photos below.
