Adidas Originals x Star Wars Yoda & Skywalker
The ever so-popular Star Wars movie is one of Adidas’ inspiration in designing its sneakers. The latest release comes in two forms, a one dubbed as “Yoda” which is inspired by the puppet character, Yoda, and the “Skywalker”. The Yoda boat shoe is inspired by Yoda’s wrinkly skin and Brown outfit while the Skywalker high top adopts Luke’s suit in Orange with White hints. Both kicks are now available at Leaders. [NiceKicks]

Hiroshi Fujiwara x Nike Zoom Tennis Classic

Fragment Design’s Hiroshi Fujiwara worked with Nike on this Zoom Tennis Classic, which we checked out in detail not too long ago. Alongside a number of other anticipated releases, these officially became available at select stores today.

White leather is used all over, keeping things classy and simple. A perforated Swoosh is used as opposed to a sewn-on piece. Metallic gold leather is used on the heel panel, as well as the Fragment Design logo under that. That same gold is sewn onto the tongue label. This isn’t Hirsohi’s first time around the block working with a major footwear collaboration, as many of you will remember the Navy blue Converse Chuck Taylor that just released.

The classic Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star is getting an update for Fall/Winter of 2010. Though these appeara similar to every Chuck we’ve seen, a new sole has been added to added some stability to the floppy-form Converse of yesteryear.

A cup sole has been added to the standard vulcanized sole. Both high and low versions will release, as you’ll notice here. All three (2 are highs and 1 is a low) use a nubuck upper in a single color. The black pair actually uses a blue toe and liner to add in a little color. These were spotted at the Bread&Butter Tradeshow, but won’t hitting shelves until, as stated above, sometime in Fall or Winter.

Nike Air Max LeBron VII

The Nike Air Max LeBron VII is easily one of, if not the best LeBron James sneaker in his line so far. Besides Michael Jordan’s ever-so-popular line, never has there been so much hoopla around an athlete’s shoes.

Cleveland.com’s writer Stan Donaldson made light of this by writing an article about the history of LeBron James sneakers, what he thinks will happen if LeBron decides to go to New York at the season’s end and other sneaker-related topics. Click here to read the article which features multiple quotes from Nike’s reps and Nice Kicks own Matt Halfhill.

Release Reminder: Air Jordan 6 Retro Black/Red

Posted: 22 Jan 2010 03:58 PM PST

Air Jordan Alpha 1

This Saturday, January 23rd, 2010, Jordan Brand will unleash its first true retro of 2010 in the form of the Air Jordan 6 Retro for $150.

We showcased this particular sneaker in our 10 Sneakers We’re Looking Forward to in 2010, and many of you agreed. The Air Jordan 6 has a lot of rich history behind it to say the least. For example, Michael Jordan won his first championship against the Los Angeles Lakers in this shoe. Although the original version featured infrared accents instead of the regular red, this is still a nice pickup for $150. Who else cannot wait until tomorrow?
