True to that, it is the newest basketball shoe under the Nike Air Max lineup which possesses a combination of AM’s sole unit in the heel and a Flywire design on the side panel. This preliminary colorway comes in Black/Varsity Blue. More images will be posted once this shoe debuts in April. [NiceKicks]

Nike Auto Force 180 Mid “Kill Bill”

Posted: 23 Feb 2010 12:58 PM PST

Nike Air Max LeBron VII - Dunkman

A lot of you applauded Nike for releasing the “Kill Bill” Pack at the end of last month and rightfully so. Both sneakers incorporated in the pack definitely possess a very cool concept that pays tribute to the movie and Kobe Bryant. We have now spotted another sneaker that can be associated with the previously mentioned pack.

Nike has also applied the “Kill Bill” color scheme to the Auto Force 180 model. Specifically, it features some of the same attributes seen on the Big Nike in the “Kill Bill” Pack. It contains a primarily black leather base with minimal yellow accents in the form of branding (side panels, midfoot strap, tongue). Other features include a red line design seen above the white sole and the infamous Kill Bill ‘death list’ on the insole. Although a stateside release will happen in the near future, this shoe is now available at Dunk.

Video: Air Jordan 2010 “Nightmares Never Sleep”

Posted: 23 Feb 2010 12:06 PM PST

To promote the Air Jordan 2010, advertising firm Wieden + Kennedy launched the “Nightmares Never Sleep” campaign around All-Star Weekend. Following the original commercial and press photos, Jordan Brand has put together the above video and featured guerrilla art installments in New York.

Dwyane Wade may be Flash to most people, but he certainly is a nightmare to opposing players, so the campaign is fitting. Anderson Varejao probably still can’t sleep thanks to a certain highlight-worthy run-in earlier this season.

Nike Air Max 90 Orange Blaze/White-White

Posted: 23 Feb 2010 11:58 AM PST

Nike Air Max 90 Orange/White

Spring is a big time for Air Max releases. We’ve seen a number of Air Max 1s, 95s and even a very clean Cool Grey 2009+ recently. The Nike Air Max 90 has popped a few times as well, but this colorway just became available online.

Orange leather makes up the majority of the build on these, including the quarter panels and mudguard. The Swoosh is white, matching the forefoot and heel portions of the sole. The toe box is also done in white, but mesh is the material of choice. Readers liked the Air Max 1 in Orange Blaze we saw not too long ago, but this similar colorway may be just the ticket for fans of the AM90 silhouette. You can grab yours now at Finish Line.

White Mountaineering x Vans Mountain Edition

Japanese company White Mountaineering has partnered with Vans to design two pairs of the Mountain Edition.

The first utilizes a navy blue, red and white colorway. Along the quarter panels and toe box, a plaid pattern is used with the three colors. The strap and ankle panel are done with red suede, while the remainder of the shoe is navy. The second pair utilizes all the same color blocking, but grey and yellow are the choice colors. A semi-translucent gum sole underside shows a striped pattern. Expect both in the near future.

Nike Air Max Hyperize Silver/Volt

Posted: 23 Feb 2010 09:58 AM PST

Nike Air Max Hyperize Silver/Volt

On the way to a record third Dunk Contest title victory, Nate Robinson sported some Nike Air Max Hyperizes in the New York Knicks’ white, orange and blue. That marked the official debut of the revamped basketball shoe, and was one of the first few colorways we had seen. Now we’re getting a look a release-ready version of this special Hyperize, which is set to release in June of this year.

Silver leather is slathered all over the toe and midfoot areas and looks to be reflective, similar to the material used on the Hyperdunk “Kobe Bryant x Aston Martin DB9″ we saw yesterday. The midsole, heel cup and tongue are all done in a similar silver color. To contrast the simple build, Volt appears on the outsole and tongue accents. The Hyperize is one of the best performing sneakers to date. With the added bonus of the full-length Air Max, can they get even better?
