Nike Air Alpha Force II Retro 76ers

Posted: 22 Sep 2009 12:58 PM PDT

Nike Air Alpha Force II

Last year, Nike re-released a couple of classic sneakers that future Hall of Famer Charles Barkley made famous including the CB34 and the Air Max2 CB. Presently, Nike has brought back the Air Alpha Force II in its original colorway to select retailers, namely House of Hoops.

If you recall, ‘Sir Charles’ played in this sneaker during his days with the Philadelphia 76ers (obviously explaining the colorway). It was first released in 1988; however, Nike retroed it in 2004. Besides the timeless 76ers colorway, this shoe was also one of the only basketball sneakers in the late 80’s to possess a velcro strap. As stated earlier, check your nearest House of Hoops location for this sneaker. Click here to view detailed photos.

Posted: 22 Sep 2009 11:58 AM PDT

DXV Miami, Benefitting Holy GrailDunkxchange is invading Florida this weekend, bringing the entertainment and sneaker event to Downtown Miami. As usual, Dro Pesci will be hosting. It’s an all-ages show, and only $15 bucks gets you in the door, with up to 3 pairs of sneaks or other items to sell or trade per person.

This DXC event will be supporting a cause near and dear to sneakerhead’s hearts, as door proceeds will go to Holy Grail, the LA consignment shop looted and destroyed in the post-Lakers’ championship riots. Check out our interview with Holy Grail manager Liz Sanchez for more details on the incident.

Miami heads should check out to the show, if for no other reason than to support own of our own.

Nike SB P-Rod III, Dunk Mid and Zoom Classic

Posted: 22 Sep 2009 11:28 AM PDT

Nike SB P-Rod III, Dunk Mid and Zoom ClassicDespite the push towards basketball season, Nike has been breaking us off with SB releases left and right lately. Seen here are three more Fall colorways for the Nike P-Rod III, Dunk Mid and Zoom Classic, all available now at Flatspot.

We’ve seen the P-Rod III in bright red and black/white, and now we’ve got a look at a more subdued version. Using Midnight Fog as a base, a Sport Red Swoosh and laces jump off as accent colors. We first spotted these back in March and brought them to you to mixed reviews. The Dunk mid uses a suede upper in royal blue and black, keeping things nice and simple over a white midsole and black outsole. The simplest colorway of all three comes on the Zoom Classic, which uses a leather blackout upper. Scarlet is used on the outsole and liner, and with gold on the tongue label.

Click here to see pics of all three sneaks.

Another pair contains a mostly grey upper with black accents on the toe cap, side panels, tongue and heel. It also features neon yellow details seen on the contrast stitching, shoelaces and tongue. Adidas Nizza High for Dennis Busenitz

Posted: 22 Sep 2009 10:43 AM PDT

Adidas Nizza High for Dennis Busenitz

We covered Eric Koston’s SB Dunk yesterday, and today we’ve got a another signature skate model for you. For fans of Adidas, skater Dennis Busenitz has designed this Nizza High.

Using a high-cut for a skate model is something we’ve seen a lot of in the past year or two, and these are no exception. Using an all tan upper, these Nizza’s have a clean and simple look to them, reminiscent of Adidas’ classic non-skate models. Three signature stripes appear in pink on each side, and are accented by a gold Busenitz signature. For actual skaters, extra precaution is in place with a double layer of material around the toe box.

How do these compare to other skate offerings we’ve seen lately? Head to the comments section and let us know who you feel.
