Nike Air Force 1

Last week, we notified you of the Futura x Nike Air Force 1 High Premium Black being available at Dunk in which many of you liked a lot. How does it compare to the recently released matte silver Futura x Nike Air Force 1 High Supreme?

It features a predominately matte silver-colored base combined with a transparent outsole. The upper is heavily perforated from the side panels to the heel panel. This sneaker also owns monochromatic accents in the form of the swoosh and shoelaces; however, its most distinctive attribute is the previously mentioned outsole. It utilizes blue and orange in a very creative way giving it a nice contrast to the matte silver upper. Available now at Dunk. Click here to view detailed photos.

Nike SB Bruin Navy/Red

Nike SB Bruin Navy/Red

The classic Nike Bruin in SB form was chosen as Complex’s #9 Sneaker of 2009. Many of you disagreed, naturally. But even if you did, you can’t deny the appeal of a simple and clean colorway in any shoe, which is what we see here in this navy and red sneaker.

Navy blue suede is draped from toe to heel on these, with matching stitching throughout. White laces pair up with the vulcanized sole, while a red leather Swoosh matches up with the liner. These may not be the same as the blue Bruins DJ Clark Kent highly praises in the above video, but we’re sure he’d appreciate this darker shade of blue. These are out now so if you happen to appreciate them, your local SB dealer should have these.

Nike Dynasty Black/Metallic Silver-Orange

Posted: 30 Dec 2009 11:58 AM PST

Nike Dynasty

In the beginning of September, we showed you preliminary photos of the Mighty Crown and Nike collaboration on the Nike Dynasty High. The comment section was filled with positive and negative comments on this sneaker. However, if you like the Dynasty High style, they are now starting to hit select retailers.

This particular features sort of a Halloween inspired colorway. It features a predominately black colored base comprised of leather and nubuck. Orange accents show up in the form of the outsole and the Nike tag logos on the heel and tongue. To finish it off, this sneaker is complimented with a metallic silver swoosh and a white midsole. Available now at LTD. Click here to view more photos.

Air Jordan 6 "Detroit Pistons" Detailed Photos

The reception for the Air Jordan 6 “Detroit Pistons” has been less than warm since we first caught a glimpse of it. And until now, lo-res photos and unflattering images are all that we have seen. Things are changing today though, as we get a detailed look and notify you that they’re available early at marqueesole.

We already know about the construction of the upper–nubuck and patent leather–but these photos better show the quality of the materials. We also get a better look at the splatter on the blue portions of the midsole, which makes them more intentional and methodical than when last viewed. These photos should serve to fuel the debate about these sneakers, and maybe change some opinions.

PF Flyers for Spring

PF Flyers has stepped up in a big way lately, and Spring of 2010 promises to keep things moving. We’ve got a sneak peek look at the lineup for next year, which includes a variety of styles, cuts and finishes.

Part of the focus for the next line of goods was to accent neutral colors with bright ones, including blue and orange specifically. Looks definitely vary, as seen in the difference between the beige Future Astor Glide and the sequin-covered Glide. The most recent Glide we saw looks like it belongs in the next collection, as it features multiple shades of brown accented by light blue.

Frank Rudy, Inventor of Nike Air, Passes Away

Nike Air Sole Technology Inventor Passes Away

Nike has developed an abundance of innovative technology over the years and incorporated them into some of our favorite sneakers. Frank Rudy, the inventor of Nike Air Sole Technology, passed away earlier this month at his home in California.

Rudy, who was 84 at the time of his passing, was best known as one of the lending hands in helping Nike conquer the footwear industry.

“Frank Rudy holds a singular place in the pantheon of Nike innovation,” Mark Parker, president and chief executive of Nike, said in a written statement.

“His relentless creativity and focus on solving problems was, in many ways, the template for how Nike pursues performance to this very day.”

Frank Rudy invented the Nike Air Sole Technology in the late 1970s and first incorporated it into a running sneaker in 1979.

Ben Walby, a family friend said, “He wasn’t one to shy away from the ultimate challenge. The bigger the problem the more complex the problem, the deeper he dug in.”
