Nike Hyperize “Hong Kong”

Posted: 09 Jul 2009 12:20 PM PDT

Nike Hyperize

At the beginning of July, we showed you the Nike Hyperize “Asia” Pack, and many of you showed a liking towards the pack as a whole. However, today we spotlight the Nike Hyperize “Hong Kong” which is now available at Kix-Files.

First off, this particular shoe is inspired by the Machpherson Stadium, a place that has been hosting First Division games in Hong Kong since 1953. Coinciding with the color scheme makeup of the aforementioned stadium, this shoe faeatures a predominately white base (white building near the stadium) with multiple black details (black roof) throghout the silouhette. The multi-colored flywire design consists of green, red, yellow, blue and orange. These accents represent the seat colors, stairs and handrail of the stadium. Click here to view detailed photos.

Nike Sky Force Tecmo Bowl Sample

Earlier this year we saw a number of simple colorways of the Sky Force High from Nike.

This Nike Sky Force Tecmo Bowl Sample may or may not see the light of day. This makeup features the digitized print surrounding the Swoosh. The Raider-esque color combo would definitely be Bo Jackson approved if these ever make it into production.

Would you cop these if they dropped?

Throwback Thursday: Nike Air Trainer SC II

Posted: 09 Jul 2009 11:10 AM PDT

Nike Air Trainer SC IINike has brought back many of the shoes the professional dual-sport athlete Bo Jackson endorsed, but the 19 year old Nike Air Trainer SC II has yet to make its return. The Trainer SC II incorporated many different technologies that were showcased in the trainer lineup.   Starting at the toe box and moving back, the shoes sported a more breathable perforated leather that gave the shoe the strength and durability while allowing for some heat to escape during training.  The cross strap at the bottom of the laces was bigger and beefier than ever with tough velcro that was not going to let go no matter what stresses the shoe was put under.

Like the Nike Air Trainer SC, the circa 1991 SC II features sail cloth anchoring the upper to the sole.  Interestingly, Nike cut the sail cloth fabric in a way that formed diagonal lines that even matched well with the box.  While the shoe had the mid top cut, the sneakers also had an interior boot that provided extra stability.  Nike Air cushioning protected the impact of the heel of those training.  The shoe finishes off with a large “Nike Air” logo on the heel reminding you of which brand dominated the training footwear category then and now.

With the Nike Trainer 1 releasing 20 years after the Bo Knows campaign, could we see Nike honor this shoe’s 20th birthday in 2010 with a re-release?  Click here to leave your two cents whether Nike should bring back this training great.

Air Jordan Fusion 13 Preview

We’ve seen a number of silhouettes from the Air Jordan line combined with the Air Force 1 to create the Air Jordan Fusion. Today, we have our first look at the Air Jordan Fusion 13.

The combination is what most of us would have expected, the AJ13 upper combined with the AF1 sole. The black and red version features a unique application of suede that actually wraps around a good portion of the midsole. As we have seen with the latest Air Jordan Fusion 4 colorways, two original colorways have been applied to these latest Fusions. Look for these to hit retailers this fall.

Click here to see more of both colorways.
