Vans Chukka Boot x Crooks & Castles
The Chukka Boot from Vans was chosen to be Crooks & Castles’ subject for collaboration. A special treatment from textured Black premium leather in a wood grain design was applied on the ankle and heel panels while plain Black leather covered the toe area. Eyelets come in Black except for the top pair which is done in metal that simply goes with the Vans logo on the ankle, chain link C and castle logo on the tongue, and of course the vulcanized rubber sole. This will drop at the Melrose and Sunset Crooks stores in LA. [NiceKicks]

Puma Basket “Drive Thru” Pack

Posted: 10 Feb 2010 11:28 AM PST

Puma Basket

Puma has applied a number of unique inspirations to its sneakers with the most recent being the Basket II “Soda Pop” Pack. Now, they use their original Basket model to pay tribute to some of the well-known fast food restaurants in China.

This particular pack is comprised of three peculiar Basket model colorways done up in leather. Colorways include Purple/Yellow/White (which is said to be the Taco Bell pair), blue/yellow/white, and white/red/blue. The latter colorway features an vintage-like midsole, while the other two are finished with a clean, traditional white midsole. No word yet on which fast food chain the other two sneakers represent; however, stay tuned for more information. Meanwhile, click here to view additional photos.

Nike Air Classic BW & Air Max 90 Black/White-Blue

Two of Nike’s classic running silhouettes have been spotted in matching colorways. The Air Classic BW and Air Max 90 have long been favorites of many ‘heads, with the former popping up more and more often as of late.

The 90 sports black leather along the mudguard, quarter panel and midfoot, while white mesh fills in at the toe box and on the collar. Bright blue appears on the midfoot plastic accents, as well as the Air Max window surround. Switching things up, the BW relies on white leather and black mesh for its build. The Swoosh, collar and liner all utilize the same shade of blue as the 90. Expect both of these sometime later this year.
