Nike Air Royal Mid - Purple

Posted: 03 Feb 2010 10:00 PM PST

Nike Air Royal Mid Purple
The Nike Air Royal Mid in Purple is different from the Foamposite Eggplant since in has its own unique feature. Aside from its toy-like image, the Purple leather that covers the whole of it, including the Swoosh, features a wrapped effect. It appears to be almost seamless, having visible stitches in a minimal point. The sole, shoe laces and inner liner go with the general motif, leaving a monochromatic look. Did anyone think it’s a grape-flavored candy? [NiceKicks]

Nike Air Max BW Gen II Black/White

Nike BW Gen II Black/White

The Nike Air Max BW Gen II has hit select retailers. The updated-for-2010 Air Classic BW is one of the first few models featuring Torch to become available, and is sure to be a hit. The first, and only, colorway we’ve seen utilizes a black majority with hits of white.

As noted above, the upper is almost entirely black and constructed with layered nubuck. Torch, which we learned is a three layer broken down material that boasts superior comfort and breathability, is featured on the toe box and mid-panel. If you missed video of Nike Sportswear designer Jesse Leyva discussing Torch, be sure to check it out. This is the first sighting of the shoe for sale, but keep your eyes open for a US retailer to put these out soon.

Posted: 04 Feb 2010 12:28 PM PST

Nightmares Never Sleep

Yesterday, we notified you of the Air Jordan Alpha 1 Ray Allen "Christmas Day" PE releasing at House of Hoops this week. However, if you are a die-hard Knicks fan and you wear a size 9.5, you can now bid on this shoe by way of eBay.

This particular Air Jordan Alpha 1 coincides perfectly with the New York Knicks jerseys to say the least. It owns a predominately blue and white perforated leather base with multiple orange hints on the swoosh, shoelaces and Jordan Wings logo on the collar area. If you recall, we spotted New York Knicks forward Jared Jeffries wearing this sneaker in our Kicks On Court. Is remains to be seen if this shoe makes its way to House of Hoops as well. Until then, you can bid on this size 9.5 here. Click here to view additional photos.

Reebok ZigTech

Posted: 04 Feb 2010 11:58 AM PST

Reebok Zig Tech

Just a bit ago, we saw the debut of Reebok’s ZigTech footwear. While the commercial focused more on certain NFL athletes’ acting prowess than the shoes themselves, what we have here is a detailed look at this new line.

The ZigTech sole is far from subtle. Large waves of what looks to be injected foam are used for support. Similar to Nike Free, the design looks to be intended to increase flexibility and comfort for the wearer, as well as conserve energy while in motion. On this particular pair, red is used on both the sole and the liner. The entire upper is done in black, with bits of patent leather on the toe and heel. The large Vector logo along the side looks to be done with a shiny rubber. More information is expected to surface soon, so stay tuned for more when it becomes available.

Video: Reebok Introduces ZigTech Technology

Posted: 04 Feb 2010 11:28 AM PST

Does anyone know anything about the newly-designed Reebok ZigTech Technology? In the video above, a hungry reporter searches information about this new technology by asking NFL players such as Santonio Holmes, Maurice Jones-Drew, Vince Wilfork and others. Each one of them choose to remain tight-lipped. However, Reebok did let us know that the ZigTech technology will make its debut in March.

Nike Hyperdunk Low Steve Nash “Home” PE

Posted: 04 Feb 2010 10:58 AM PST

Nike Hyperdunk Low Steve Nash "Home" PE

Steve Nash started the 2009-2010 NBA season in the Nike Cradle Rock Low. Since then, we’ve seen numerous colorways of the Hyperdunk Low dedicated to the Canadian point guard, including an “Away” PE. To follow that pair, Nike has given him this “Home” version.

Grey is used as the base color on this version, appearing on the midfoot, toe and under the SN logo on the heel. The mid-panel is done with two color-threaded Flywire. Orange runs horizontally and purple vertically. Purple is also used on the outsole and Swoosh. Like the other pair, paint splatters appear on the midsole in the Phoenix Suns’ colors.

“Copper” Nike Air Foamposite Release Delayed Indefinitely

Posted: 04 Feb 2010 10:28 AM PST

Nike Foamposite One - Copper

In mid-January, we notified you of what was the official release date of the “Copper” Nike Air Foamposite. It left us with the choice of purchasing this sneaker or treating our Valentine to a romantic dinner (or both…you can always hit up McDonald’s). However, we have just received word that this highly anticipated sneaker’s release has been delayed indefinitely.

Therefore, the only information we can give you at this moment is that the “Copper” Nike Air Foamposite will retail for $200. It may be at an advantage for some of you that it will not release close to Valentine’s Day; yet, it’s probably nerver-wrecking for those who have been impatiently awating this shoe since last year. Stay tuned for more release information.

Asics Gel Lyte III “Leather” Pack

Posted: 04 Feb 2010 09:58 AM PST

Asics Gel Lyte III "Leather" Pack

The Asics Gel Lyte III has been seen in a myriad of color-ups over the past year or so. Seemingly every material has been placed somewhere on the shoe. The Holiday Releases included a brown and a black pair, and this next twosome uses the same colors base colors, but different material choices.

The “Leather” Pack consists of two pairs constructed with–you guessed it–leather. The first pair uses black leather for the entire upper, including the Asics arches design on the mid-panel. Ballistic mesh is also used at the same places, and also the heel, similar to the High Snobiety x Gel Lyte III. At the heel, forefoot and toe, tan contrast stitching has been utilized. The sole and liner both match that same tan. The other pair uses dark brown leather at the same places, and also kept the tan accents. These will drop soon, but you can pre-buy your pair now at Crooked Tongues.
