Converse Jack Purcell Mid - Waxed Leather

The Converse Jack Purcell Mid has been seen in some classy colorways and material treatments, including the Victim collaboration low-top. These next two pairs continue the trend, dropping in two clean waxed leather uppers.

One pair features an upper with black leather while the other uses burgundy. Both have a marbles effect, adding a natural pattern to them. The toe cap and soles are both done in white rubber, accented with a tiny black accent on the toe. Both also use black laces. The burgundy pair uses a pre-worn treatment, providing an authentic vintage feel.

adidas Centennial Mid "Cleveland Cavaliers"

Yesterday we got a look at the Boston Celtic’s Centennial Mid and New Englanders welcomes it with open arms. But before they can rejoice in being the only NBA squad with their own adidas, LeBron’s followers will be happy to know Cleveland now has an adidas, too.

Like the Celtics’, the Cavs’ is constructed from a mixture of suede and leather. Orange stripes and an orange heel panel contrast the navy blue majority of the rest of the shoe. The old school Cavs logo is over-sized on the tongue, too.

These are available at select adidas Originals accounts for a lowly $80, which is half the cost of repping the Cavs than the upcoming LeBron VIIs.

Converse One Star Sturdy OX

Converse continues to showcase the One Star OX model in the limelight. Recently, we have spotted the One Star ‘74, the One Star V-3 and the suede versions. However, while the aforementioned One Star styles can be dubbed year-round due to its colorways, these two One Star’s are ideally fall/winter-ready.

Release Reminder: Nike Air Max LeBron VII

Posted: 23 Oct 2009 03:28 PM PDT

Nike Air Max LeBron VII

Earlier this week, we gave you two different release dates for the Nike Air Max LeBron VII due to the fact that Nike Basketball changed the date a couple of times. Since then, all of the confusion has settled. The Nike Air Max LeBron VII, LeBron James’s seventh signature sneaker, is now available at Nike retailers.

LeBron’s seventh signature sneaker goes against anything involved in his ever-growing line seeing that is incorporates Air Max technology as opposed to Zoom technology. In addition, it possesses the flywire design previously seen on the Hyperdunk, Hyperize and the Kobe IV. Is the Air Max LeBron VII the best ‘King James’ sneaker yet? Click here to view detailed photos.

Also, check out our Nike Air Max LeBron VII performance review.

Air Force Friday: 2006 Easter Eggs

Posted: 23 Oct 2009 02:58 PM PDT

Air Force 1 06 Easter Egg

2006 was a great year for Air Force 1 releases. We saw the World Cup series release, the Invisible Woman release, and the Philippines edition, just to name a few. Out of all the dope releases that year, the 2006 Easter Egg Air Force 1 is arguably one of the top three Air Force 1’s of all time (Kanye’s voice)! This pair was released around March of 06 as a quickstrike release and quickly became a must-have for the majority of the Air Force 1 lovers. The colors and the quality of the patent leather on this Air Force 1 came together perfectly to create this instant classic. While any hope of copping these for the retail price of around $100 is long gone, sometimes you can still catch a deadstock pair floating around the internet for decent prices.

If you want your Air Force Friday story on the site, you have to do three simple things. First, become a Nice Kicks friend on Facebook. Secondly, become a member of the Nice Kicks group on Facebook and thirdly, send your story along with a picture of you with the shoes to info@nicekicks.com and title the subject Air Force Friday. Air Jordan Retro Noctilucence Socks

Posted: 23 Oct 2009 02:28 PM PDT

Air Jordan Retro Noctilucence Socks

They didn’t call the man Air Jordan for no reason. Taking a scientific name for clouds that are visible at high altitudes, the Air Jordan Retro Noctilucence Socks pack pays tribute to some of Michael’s most popular sneakers ever.

Going above and beyond just branding a sock and putting it in the appropriate colors, JB uses label specific to each shoe. For instance, the XI sock uses the signature sideways text, and the VI uses a label modeled after the lace lock. Other shoes include the XII “Taxi” and “Nubuck” and the XI “Concord” and “Space Jam,” among others. The II sock even gets the old school “wings” logo and the XII gets the heel logo form the “Taxi’s”. The socks, which will release sometime next year, even come in a special shoe box package covered in clouds.

Click here to see the pics and weigh in on your favorite sock-shoe combination.
