Playing under the Christmas lights on a snow-covered court, LeBron and Kobe check their skills against the reindeer. Without giving away too much, we can tell you that LeBron gets airborne in his very special Air Max LeBron VII “Christmas” sneaks, even though he’s set to debut them until the big day. You’ll have to watch the video to see who wins it all. Nike SB Dunk Low Premium “Chirping Bird” Posted: 21 Dec 2009 11:58 AM PST It looks as though the Nike SB Dunk Low “Chirping Bird” will actually release in the States, as the special edition SB is set for a February QS release. As of right now, it looks as though the U.S. version will feature the chirping electronic piece in the tongue, while international releases will not. The upside or downside of that is a matter of opinion though, as it created quite a controversy when we saw the video linked above. As for this Nike SB Dunk’s construction, black denim is used to cover almost every panel, with the exception of the Swoosh, which uses matching patent leather, and the heel tab, which is done in white. Red is obviously the accent color of choice, as it appears on the outsole, tongue tab, and heel labeling. | Read the rest of Nike SB Dunk Low Premium “Chirping Bird” © Alex Kroviak for NiceKicks.com, 2009. | Permalink | 4 comments | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: Nike Dunk, Nike SB |
Futura x Nike Air Force 1 High Premium Black Posted: 21 Dec 2009 11:28 AM PST Earlier this month, we notified you of the upcoming Air Force 1 project between Nike and Futura. So far, most of you have took a liking towards the all-white pair and the navy blue color scheme. However, check out these detailed photos of the Futura x Nike Air Force 1 High Premium Black. First off, this particular Air Force 1 possesses a very simple color scheme; however, its texture makeup sets this shoe apart from general Air Forces. It features an all-black premium leather base combined with a white midsole and a clear outsole. The latter section features the words BE TRUE in Futura’s writing. Also, one of the more interesting attributes is the perforation, gradient design seen throughout the side panels and the collar area. Although this shoe does not officially release until 2010, Dunk now has a few in stock. Star Wars x adidas Originals ZX8000 “Darth Vader” Posted: 21 Dec 2009 09:58 AM PST By now we’ve seen the Star Wars x adidas Originals Pack a few times, with looks at the many different character-inspired models together. Today we’re changing things up though, as we’re taking a look at the details of a single shoe in the adidas X8000 “Darth Vader,” which features designs elements taken form the namesake bad guy, and some very cool packaging. Details you’ll notice include the multiple costume elements borrowed from Darth Vader’s costume, including the paneling on the toe and metal grate design near the heel. Suede and leather alternate for panels throughout the upper, and a line-drawing of Vader appears on the underside of the sole. Bits of red are used as well, including the Star Wars logo on the debray and on the panel at the top of the heel. Similar to a few pairs we covered in our Movie-Inspired Sneakers: The Sequel recap, these are packaged similar to an old school action figure. | Read the rest of Star Wars x adidas Originals ZX8000 “Darth Vader” © Alex Kroviak for NiceKicks.com, 2009. | Permalink | 10 comments | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: Adidas, adidas originals |
