My Sneaker Essentials: Carmelo Anthony Posted: 23 Sep 2009 12:58 PM PDT We have spotted a number of Kobe and LeBron signature sneakers as of late, while other signature sneaker players such as Kevin Durant and Chris Paul lay low until later on in the basketball season. In addition, Carmelo Antony’s signature shoe line has also not received as much hoopla as the first two superstars mentioned. However, Complex magazine caught up with Carmelo for a new edition of Sneaker Essentials. In this interview, Anthony went into great detail about his forthcoming sixth signature sneaker dubbed the Jordan Melo M6. In addition, ‘Melo’ shared with Complex his top 5 sneakers of all time. Nike Air Max LeBron VII Black/Fire Pink Posted: 23 Sep 2009 11:58 AM PDT Earlier today, we notified you of the ongoing Project Bluefoot LeBron Design Competition which enables aspiring footwear designers the possibility of creating a LeBron signature sneaker; however, that obviously was not enough ‘King James’ news for the day. With that said, we have came across a new Air Max LeBron VII that is expected to release in the beginning of 2010. It is very rare that we see a new colorway of a signature sneaker this far into the future especially seeing that the original colorway has not released yet. Nonetheless, this particular sneaker will supposedly drop in only kid sizes and presumably in women sizes. It features a predominately black upper combined with fire pink-colored accents throughout the base. We would not be surprised if some of you guys were tearing down the retailer stores for this sneaker as well. Meanwhile, click here to view detailed photos. | Read the rest of Nike Air Max LeBron VII Black/Fire Pink © George Kiel III for NiceKicks.com, 2009. | Permalink | 5 comments | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: Nike, Nike Air Max LeBron VII, Nike Basketball |
Nike Hyperize “London Capital” & “Paris Levallois” at HOH Posted: 23 Sep 2009 11:28 AM PDT Nike’s Hyperize has been seen in a lot of colorways this Summer and Fall, including the “Destro” design from the G.I. Joe Pack, and we showed you these two European hoops team-inspired color-ups earlier this year, but now we’ve confirmed that tomorrow, both pairs will drop at the Harlem House of Hoops tomorrow, September 24th.The “Paris Levallois” colorway, like the other, is inspired by its namesake’s basketball team. As you may recall, both of these were done to celebrate the opening of a House of Hoops location in each respective location. Paris’ sneaker uses University Blue, Black and White, while the the Londons get a Sapphire Blue, Red and White treatment. No photos of the actual sneakers have surfaced yet, but they’ll look just like the mockups seen below, though they’ll read “Hyperize,” not “Hyperlite” like in the photos. Are you planning to grab these tomorrow? | Read the rest of Nike Hyperize “London Capital” & “Paris Levallois” at HOH © Alex Kroviak for NiceKicks.com, 2009. | Permalink | 3 comments | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: Nike, Nike Basketball |
Solebox Collaboration Sneak Peak, Pt. 2 - The Video Posted: 23 Sep 2009 10:58 AM PDT Yesterday we gave a glimpse of Solebox’s upcoming collaboration with the promise of an October update.Well, it looks like we may have more information right now. Solebox posted a video on YouTube yesterday, showing a Reebok Pump bubble with a very special feature. The video doesn’t reveal much, but through the dimly-lit video it looks like the upper of this shoe is black and the liner is a light color, just like in the aforementioned pics. Could this be the same Solebox collab? The German brand churns them out, including these Adidas Consortiums, so these may not be the same sneaks we featured yesterday. It looks like only time will tell, but stay tuned to Nice Kicks for more info as soon as it’s available.
