Nike Air Max Light Black/Grey

Posted: 03 Jul 2010 12:28 PM PDT

The Nike Air Max Light is a shoe that is often forgotten about in the ‘Air Max’ lineup. As the first Air Max shoe to sport the visible air bubble, the Air Max Light has a significant role in the evolution and history of sneakers.  Recently, the Air Max Light has been releasing in some not-so-traditional colorways such as the White/Sky Blue-Mint colorway.

Today, we have spotted a new pair of the Nike Air Max Light in a much more subdued dual-tone colorway. This pair is featured in all black silhouette, with hints of silver on the Nike Swoosh, side panels, tongue tag, and outsole.

Nike Zoom Hyperfuse Black/Dark Grey

Posted: 03 Jul 2010 12:28 PM PDT

Nike Zoom Hyperfuse

With the Nike Zoom Kobe V weighing a ridiculous 10.5 ounces, it is unlikely that the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse will win any weight loss contests. However, at 12.5 ounces, the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse holds its own ground as a durable pair of high tops that also maintains a light weight.

Yesterday, we showed you a pair of Nike Zoom Hyperfuse in a stunning blue and black colorway. Today, we have a more subdued colorway in black and dark grey. The shoe, for the most part, uses a black upper with hints of dark grey on the inner liner. Stay tuned as these light yet durable performance-based shoes release this fall.

Nike Air Max LeBron VIII Detailed Photos

Posted: 03 Jul 2010 10:58 AM PDT

Nike Air Max LeBron VIII

As the 2010 NBA free agency period rages on, questions concerning where LeBron James will end up playing for many years to come continue to grow. This decision on where ‘The King’ will play also affects how Nike will market the LeBron James signature line for many years. Earlier this week, we showed several colorways that are associated with the teams on the LeBron hunt currently (see Free Agency Footwear: 5 Sneaker Scenarios for LeBron James).

In today’s closer look at the original (if you will) Nike Air Max Lebron VIII, it is remarkable to see the amount of detail and attention engineered into this performance-based shoe. The flywire design seen on this sneaker differs from that seen on past shoes using the flywire technology. In addition, a flywire-infused carbon fiber plate can be seen in between the toe area and side panels. Other distinctive attributes include suede materials used throughout the upper, a speckled midsole, red full-length Air Max sole unit), white swoosh, and an embossed ‘King James’ Lion emblem on the tongue. With dozens of NBA teams trying to convince this franchise player to join their roster, Nike is definitely not taking any risks in losing the loyalty and money-making ability of LeBron James.

Nike SB Dunk High QS “Born in the U.S.A”

Posted: 03 Jul 2010 10:13 AM PDT

Nike SB Dunk Born in the USA

There are many Nike SB releases that have recently surfaced at select retailers within the past couple of days; yet, today’s Nike SB Dunk Hi “Born in the U.S.A” may arguably be the best of them all. This Nike SB Dunk couldn’t have come at a better time considering Independence Day is tomorrow, right?

The Nike SB Dunk High QS “Born in the U.S.A” draws inspiration from Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the U.S.A. album cover which features ‘The Boss’ in some jeans standing in front of the American flag. Therefore, a light blue denim texture makes up the majority of this Dunk, and a red denim Swoosh also adds to its Springsteen approach. Stars and stripes are noticeable on the top of the heel and tongue logo. This sneaker will drop overseas on Sunday at select retailers; yet, a few stateside retailers will have this sneaker in stock today. Check your nearest Nike SB retailer now for this quickstrike.

Jordan Pre-Game XT Black/Varsity Red

Jordan Pre-Game XT Black/Varsity Red

Jordan Brand’s newest training silhouette, the Pre-Game XT has hit shelves, including Nike Store. The Alpha Trunner excited many readers with its crossover appeal. Will this hoops-specific trainer do the same?

Black suede and mesh combine on the upper to make for a breathable, lightweight build. The Varsity Red stripes along the midfoot not only make for a utilitarian look, but also serve as lace hoops for the matching red laces. The Jumpman along the side and the outsole use the same Varsity Red hue.

Nike Air Force II Black/Club Purple-Grey

Posted: 02 Jul 2010 04:28 PM PDT

Nike Air Force II

In addition to the two Nike Air Force II Lows we showed you earlier this week, Nike has also unleashed a new colorway of the high-top Air Force II at select retailers worldwide.

This particular pair seems as if it is more ready for the fall/winter season rather than the summer. It uses a tri-colored scheme and a tri-textured construction, giving this Air Force II a subtle yet stylish appeal. Cool Grey nubuck smothers the toe area, while a darker shade of grey, done up in leather, is seen on the side panels. A contrasting club purple swoosh is paired with a section of the sole that provides some nice color blocking. What are your thoughts on the Nike Air Force II? Although it doesn’t receive as much hoopla as the Nike Air Force 1, is it still a great sneaker in your eyes? View additional photos below.
