One of Nike’s uncommon models is the Mad Jibe which is done in premium leather in a boat shoe form. The toe area including the heel and collar are heavily perforated but as for the mid side section, it comes solid with embossed tonal Swoosh. Nike SB Blazer High is now out in a combination of Varsity Red, White, and Black suede. To break down the colors, the toe box and heel come in Black while the remaining panels come in Red with the White Swoosh. The Nike branding on the heel teamed up with the White rubber sole. Nike has released a couple of Foamposite colorways where the Eggplant was made very popular. Apparently, we have some info regarding the next Air Foamposite’s release date which will be on the 13th of February 2010 with a price tag of $200. The said Foamposite will come in Copper-themed upper with Black accent. [NiceKicks]
We have come across with another Jordan Spizike colorway, the “Aquatone” which features a Grey-toned elephant pattern on the heel and mudguard with heavily perforated toe box, lace area, and collar. The leather construction on the side base comes in White textured and it receives Red and Blue accents in the form of top lace holders and lace stopper. Jumpman positions on the mid part of the tongue. Finally, the midsole comes in Black/White with a Blue/Clear outsole. [NiceKicks]
Reebok’s giving you some options with the Re-Up Select. Not in colorways necessarily, or even in materials. Instead, you have the option to change your silhouette on the fly.
On both of these, the ankle portion is able to be taken on and off with a zipper at the base of the upper. For the white and off-white pair, perforated nubuck constructs the flap. On the black pair, leather is the choice material. That pair is all black, with purple accents on the inside of the flap. The other pair utilizes a gum bottom to accent its white leather base and off-white flap.
Sneaker Con 2010 brought together enthusiasts, shops, collectors and bloggers for a day filled with music, pictures, and sneakers. This was the sophomore year for Sneaker Con. Therefore, brothers Alan & Barris Vinogradov and their homie Yu-Ming produced worthwhile venture. An amalgamation of the year’s hottest and most hyped releases were on sale in booths, around necks and on the floor. Offers were even made to purchase right off the wearer’s feet! Every pair had their price, and some pairs even exchanged ownership three and four times within the day.
There was no age limit to partake in the sneaker based festivities. With that said, youngsters as old as 10 were on the floor hustling their wears. New shops and aspiring retail owners were there getting their name out and selling some rare air from their personal collections. Even lauded sneaker personality Mayor stopped by to check out the happenings of Sneaker Con at the St. Patrick Youth Center in sneaker-heavy SoHo NYC.

Hommy Diaz from DC Life gives us a walk-through of the brand’s new looks for 2010, from their apparel lines to two new silhouettes. The Cadet Chukka uses a grey build with mixed materials, while utilizing the popular chukka boot-shoe hybrid style. The second shoe is a high-top rocking a mix of natural colors. Throughout the latter part of 2009, Nike released an abundance of SB Zoom Stefan Janoski such as the tan/brown, the grey canvas and the festive green; Nike even dedicated a new website to this silhouette. Therefore, we expect to see even more Janoskis in 2010. Check out this new SB Zoom Stefan Janoski that is now available at select retailers including Kasina.
The colorway coincides perfectly with the simple yet stylish design. It features dark army-colored base comprised of corduroy (side panels) and suede (predominance of the upper). This SB for Spring received a lot of attention when we first got a look at them. The pseudo-NYC-inspired Nike Dunk High Supreme garnered both love and a bit of hate for just that reason. Now we’re getting high resolution detailed shots at these and are willing to bet some perceptions will change.
Premium Deep Orange suede is used on the toe, midfoot and heel flap, which immediately catches your eye. Black suede fills in on the toe and mid-panel, which matches the outsole. Finally, Blue Sapphire works its way in on the Swoosh, liner, tongue surround and tongue label, as well as the alternate set of laces. Are these a purchase or a pass?
This past Saturday, Nike Sportswear released the highly anticipated DJ AM x DJ Premier Rival Pack to many sneaker lover’s excitement. It will undoubtedly be one of the better sneaker packs of 2010 because of the story behind it. The Bruin continues its run as an SB model for 2010 with the “Green Leaf,” which as you guessed, is green. Complex’s #9 Sneaker of the Year 2009 is done here at its best–simply.
Green nubuck makes up the upper, as mentioned above. There is also a small strip of canvas along the bottom edge near the sole in a matching hue. White is the second color used, appearing on the sole, laces, embroidery and of course, the Swoosh.
