| 430 x Vans Old Skool “BMX Connection” Posted: 18 May 2010 12:58 PM PDT Japanese BMX company 430 and Vans paired up on this Old Skool, which has been nicknamed the “BMX Connection.” Blue suede covers the entire upper, from heel to toe. White contrast stitching appears throughout, which is partnered with the sole of the same color. Red appears on the label tabs, including the one on the tongue. Finally, 430 branding appears on the heel. The Nike Air Max 24/7 is currently garnering a lot of attention. We recently showed you the full Nike Air Max 24/7 “Air Attack” Pack and spotted Mick Jagger wearing this sneaker in our Celebrity Sneaker Stalker. In addition, we have learned that the Nike Air Max 24/7 “Neon” is now available at select retailers including Shoe Gallery in Miami. Obviously, this particular Nike Air Max 24/7 borrows its color scheme from the legendary “Neon” Nike Air Max 95 that re-released earlier this year. The grey gradient design cue appears throughout the side panels, while the neon hints appear on the laceholders, tongue logo and the swoosh seen on the side panel. However, this most intriguing aspect of this shoe is undoubtedly the neon-colored 360 degree Max Air sole. Red patent leather and mesh are the base for this upper. The toe box, toe and mid-panel lay down a clean base, which helps emphasize the striped mudguard and collar areas. Two different patterns are used to pay tribute to the Chinese National Pavilion–the largest of its kind–which was built for the World Expo. | Nike Talk Launches Auction to Benefit Haiti Posted: 18 May 2010 11:28 AM PDT The team behind the largest sneaker forum on the web, Nike Talk, has partnered with a number of well-known sneaker customizers to create a Haiti-benefiting auction. Bid can be entered privately via e-mail until 11:59 PM EST Sunday, May 23rd. Winners will be announced at noon EST on the 24th. Customizers Evolved Footwear, JGoods Custom Sneakers, 1of Customs, JBF Custom Shoes, and Revive Customs are all involved in the contest, and have worked on a number of different Nike silhouettes. DC artist Wale has one of, if not the best sneaker games in the hip hop community. Over the past couple of years, we have incorporated him into many Celebrity Sneaker Stalkers, Footwear Faceoffs and have spotted him sporting a few sneakers well before their official release date. However, out of all the sneakers Wale has rocked, which ones are his favorite. Complex sat down with the DC rapper and came up with Wale’s 50 Favorite Sneakers. | Nike All Court Low Midnight Navy Posted: 18 May 2010 09:58 AM PDT If you missed your shot at the quickstrike All Court Low Premiums this weekend, the Midnight Navy pair has been made widely available via Nike Store. Canvas is used for the build of the upper, which displays a “ghost” Swoosh. Six stitch lines run parallel to one another behind that Swoosh from sole to midfoot. Metal eyelets are in place, holding the laces in places. For support, a white textured sole and matching toe cap sit underneath.
