Fafi x adidas Originals Posted: 06 Feb 2010 01:00 PM PST adidas Originals chose to again work with French graffiti artist, Fafi, to construct some of their Spring/Summer 2010 collection. One piece of the collaborative collection is this trainer. The pair carries an effeminate make-up with its pale hues of lavender, yellow, and pink. Also, interspersed between the solid colors are cartoon renderings from Fafi. The shoe is branded on the tongue tag with “Fafi” in script superimposed on the adidas trefoil. Jordan Hallowed Ground + 16.5 University of California PEs Posted: 06 Feb 2010 11:58 AM PST The Cal Bears are following the Georgetown Hoyas and Oak Hill Warriors with their own Jordan PEs. The 16.5 and Hallowed Ground have been the choice model of both NBA and college teams all year, so it’s no surprise that Berkeley’s finest were given the same treatment. White tumbled leather is used on the uppers of the 16.5. Navy Blue patent leather is used on the toe, heel and tongue, while mesh is the choice material for the quarter panels. Yellow accents appear on the heel and toe, as well as the script “Cal” embroidery on the tongue. For the Hallowed Ground, Navy is used on the heel, midsole and mudguard. Pearl white leather makes up the lowest level on the upper, while regular tumbled leather finishes it off. A yellow Jumpman is used on the side to match the outsole stripes. | Read the rest of Jordan Hallowed Ground + 16.5 University of California PEs © Alex Kroviak for NiceKicks.com, 2010. | Permalink | 4 comments | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: Air Jordans, Jordan 16.5, Jordan Hallowed Ground |
Puma Suede for Spring Posted: 06 Feb 2010 11:13 AM PST Puma’s Suede lineup for Spring has begun hitting stateside retailers. We previewed three similar Clydes recently, but the slightly different Suede model is the one that hit shelves at HUF. Blue, Red and Black suede builds are all available now. Matching the white sole used on each colorway is the Puma arch along the side of the upper. Gold foil text jumps off the uppers, finishing off the color-ups. | Read the rest of Puma Suede for Spring © Alex Kroviak for NiceKicks.com, 2010. | Permalink | 2 comments | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: Puma, Puma Suede |
Kicks On Court: Black Mamba Debuts “Bruce Lee” Kobe V Posted: 06 Feb 2010 10:28 AM PST Yesterday, we notified you of two new Nike Zoom Kobe Vs releasing today at retailers across the world. Did the ‘Black Mamba’ wear one of these colorways in last night’s game against the Denver Nuggets? Check out today’s Kicks On Court to see. In a loss against the Denver Nuggets, Kobe Bryant brought out the “Bruce Lee” Nike Zoom Kobe V for the first time this season. As mentioned in our previous post about this particular sneaker, it was created specifically for Kobe’s love for Kung Fu. The predominately yellow upper is reminiscent to the body suit Bruce Lee wore in “The Game of Death”. It also possesses four scratch marks on the side in representation of the scratches Bruce Lee took while fighting in “Enter the Dragon.” Is this the best Kobe V colorway to date? Click here to view these kicks plus more worn by Mike Bibby, Chauncey Billups, Steve Nash and others. | Read the rest of Kicks On Court: Black Mamba Debuts “Bruce Lee” Kobe V © George Kiel III for NiceKicks.com, 2010. | Permalink | 13 comments | Add to del.icio.us Post tags: Kicks On Court |
