Air Jordan 2 Retro White/Black-Varsity Red

Air Jordan 2 White/Black-Varsity Red

While dates have changed and information has come and gone about the releases of these Air Jordan 2 retros, interest from readers has remained unwavering. Sure, these will be overlooked thanks to today’s “Silver Anniversary” release and other expected Summer retros, but the 2 remains a favorite silhouette to many. You’ll have to wait just over three weeks to get your hands on a pair, but overseas retailers have begun selling them now, giving us the detailed look we’re taking today.

The shoe itself owns simple lines and a relatively clean build. The white tumbled leather of the upper is complemented mostly by black, though the Varsity Red on the heel and outsole, as well as other points, works to complete the necessary Chicago Bulls-inspired look. The fact that these drop the week in between the “Lakers” AJ6s and White/University Blue 9s means you may get more than one chance to decide on them. Will they ultimately make it into your closet?

Kevin Durant’s Godfather Sports New Nike KD II

Posted: 01 May 2010 11:28 AM PDT

Oklahoma City Thunder’s 2010 playoff Nike KD IIs have been some of the most impressive sneakers on court this postseason. However, in last night’s game 6, the best Nike KD IIs (arguable) were not worn by Kevin Durant or his teammates; they were not even spotted on the court. Kevin Durant’s father sat courtside at game 6 while wearing a never-before-seen colorway of the Nike KD II.

While the 2010 playoff Nike KD IIs predominately feature a simple black or white colored upper, the KD IIs that Durant’s father wore possess a primarily blue base similar to the Thunder’s Away jerseys. These new KD IIs also contain Durant’s enlarged initials on the black midfoot strap as opposed to the minuscule initials seen on previous KD II colorways. Other attributes include minimal orange hints, black midsole and a white outsole. Supposedly, Nike Basketball will release this KD II in the coming months. Is this KD II colorway the best yet?

Kicks On Court: Smith Snags his “Silver Anniversary” Air Jordan 11s Early

Posted: 01 May 2010 10:28 AM PDT

Many of you are probably just getting back from your nearest Jordan retailers with a special box in your hand a big smile on your face. Today, Jordan Brand unleashed the highly-anticipated “Silver Anniversary” Air Jordan 11 for $150. However, it seems somebody helped Denver Nuggets shooting guard J.R. Smith obtain his “Silver Anniversary” Air Jordan 11s a little earlier than everybody else.

Our Kicks On Court spotted Smith wearing the “Silver Anniversary” Air Jordan 11 in the sixth and final game of the Utah Jazz vs Denver Nuggets. After wearing the Nike Zoom Kobe V iDs for the majority of the season, Smith switched it up by rocking the Nike LeBron VII P.S. in game 5 and wearing this “Silver Anniversary” Air Jordan 11 in last night’s game. Who else is admiring their Air Jordan 11s right now? View these kicks plus more worn by Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony and others.

Nike Air Max 1 White/Black-Blue

Nike Air Max 1 White/Black-Blue

One of our readers’ favorite Air Max 1s to be spotted has finally surfaced at select retailers, including Crook Tongues. We first previewed this shoe next to a number of other AM1s, but this is one of the last pairs seen then to hit shelves.

Black suede wraps around the base of the upper, which is constructed mostly with breathable white mesh. Grey suede also helps a bit on the mid-panel and heel. Bright blue helps break up the shoe and can be found at the base of the midfoot, top eyelet and liner. One of the more simple Air Maxes we’ve seen lately, this shoe is sure to make English heads very happy. With any luck, it will soon be Americans who are lacing up their own.

Air Max Hyperize Carlos Boozer PE "Home"

Just the other day we checked out Carlos Boozer’s Nike Air Max Hyperize PE for the playoffs. Now we’re taking a look at the “Home” version that CBooz can be seen sporting at Energy Solutions Arena.

White leather is the main component of this shoe, perfectly framing the Flywire quarter panels along the sides. Navy blue is the main accent color, while a lighter blue can been seen at strategic points, including the Swoosh outline, laces and outsole forefoot.
