Nike Air Yeezy Doernbecher Art

Posted: 02 Oct 2009 09:14 PM PDT

Nike Air Yeezy Doernbecher Art
Like most artist, the maker of the Nike Air Yeezy Doernbecher Art made something unique out of the legendary pair of sneakers. Destroying something means creating another marvelous arts-based form. Artist Krupky designed a dummy air plane where he used the upper on the wings, soles as the cabin, and the lace holders look like jet afterburners. This creation is the final part of the Doernbecher Collection which proceeds will be given to the children’s hospital. [NiceKicks]

Tired of looking at dudes? Yeah, us too. When we had a chance to pin two hot girls against each other (we wish) we jumped on it (we wish again).  Today’s footwear faceoff features sexy songstress Keri Hilson and Kanye’s boo Amber Rose rocking the first colorway of the Air Yeezy. Both kept it casual in two totally different ways. Who do you think rocked the sneakers better? Let us know in the comments.Read the rest of Footwear Faceoff: Amber Rose vs. Keri Hilson

Nike Hyperize Pau Gasol PE

Posted: 02 Oct 2009 02:28 PM PDT

Nike Hyperize

If you look at the sneaker before reading the title, you are probably thinking this has something to do with Kobe Bryant and rightfully so. However, in an attempt to leave the Kobe IV carousel for a little bit, we have now spotted a Pau Gasol PE in the form of a Nike Hyperize model.

Obviously, this sneaker features a multiple hints of purple and gold to coincide with the Los Angeles Lakers jerseys. The flywire design, tongue and outsole are done up in purple, while the swoosh, shoelaces come in gold. Also, this sneaker will more than likely be the ‘Home’ version seeing that it possesses a predominance of white leather. If you like the Hyperize Pau Gasol PE, it will be available for retail in November. Click here to view detailed photos.

Parra x Nike Air Maxim 1 Now Available

Some of you loved this Nike Air Maxim 1 when we saw it last, and some scoffed. But for those who felt the former, you’ll be pleased to know that these have officially released.

Dutch artist and designer Parra paired with Nike on these, using a light blue and red splatter pattern on the sole, with the same colors appearing again for accents and contrast stitching. A Parra label also appears on the tongue. As mentioned above, there are now available at select retailers, including Proper, Sneaker Bistro, and 21 Mercer Street. Proper’s in LA and Bistro’s in NYC, so both coasts have a shot at these.
