Apparently, celebrities like Kanye West's sneaker designs. Months after every A-lister was wearing the Air Yeezys, rappers and b-ballers have been lacing up 'Ye's Louis Vuitton sneakers.

This week's footwear faceoff features Jay-Z with Beyonce in NYC wearing the LV Jaspers, and Carmelo Anthony with La La in L.A also wearing the white/pink high-tops. Who wore the sneakers better? Hit the comments up and let us know.

5 Minutes with Mayor

Posted: 31 Jul 2009 03:00 PM PDT

Mayor

The name Mayor has been on the tongue of many Air Force Friday followers, and shoe lovers in general, especially those of us who love a crispy pair of Air Force Ones. Mayor has not only earned the right to share the title of “The Air Force One King” with his homie DJ Clark Kent, but he has also earned rights to be hailed by Clark and others as “Mr. Bespoke” and rightfully so since he is the proud owner, and creator of 16 original Bespoke Air Force Ones.

Mayor’s AF1 collection is world renowned and everyone knows that, but did you know Nike presented him with his very own 1 of 1 Air Force commemorating his 1000th pair? Do you know what shoe is his favorite? Or the pair he wants but doesn’t have yet? We didn’t think so. That’s why we caught up with the the man himself for the latest installment of our 5 Minutes With series. For those of you who didnt know Mayor before, allow me to introduce you.

Click here to find out answers to these and more, along with a SMALL sample of his HUGE collection.

Air Jordan 3 True Blue 2001 vs. 2009 Comparison

The Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” is making its first return to retail stores for the first time just short of eight years.  Today a pair of the 2009 retros landed in our office so we wanted to break down the differences between the 2001 and 2009 retros.

All in all, the differences were very minimal and should not give anyone an excuse to pass on a pair.  Click here to see detailed shots of the two True Blues.

Posted: 31 Jul 2009 01:32 PM PDT

New Air Structure Triax

Last month, we showed you a rare, unmatched colorway of the Nike Air Structure Triax, and many of you stated that you really loved this sneaker. However, we have now spotted another unparalleled Air Structure Triax colorway that is now available at Standard for $115.

It features a mostly black leather/mesh base with various purple sections on the swoosh, tongue, inner lining among other places. The toe area owns a brown laser print design that overlaps a black-colored section, while the midfoot area possesses the black laser print design over a brown base. As a nice, complimenting feature, the entire shoe sits atop a white outsole. Click here to view additional photos.

CLUCT x Mita x Reebok Ex-O-Fit

Posted: 31 Jul 2009 01:04 PM PDT

Reebok Ex-O-Fit

The Ex-O-Fit model has been a canvas for collaborations for Reebok such as the Atmos x Reebok Ex-O-Fit Strap "Nightmare", the Reebok Ex-O-Fit Hi Strap "Basquiat Pack" and the Atmos x Reebok Ex-O-Fit Hi Strap "Polka Dots". In addition, Reebok has hooked up with Mita and CLUCT to design yet another Ex-O-Fit.

The latest Ex-O-Fit seems to contain less amount of detail than the aforementioned collaborations. It owns a predominately black base with one yellow accents in the form of the strip design on the side panel. One more interesting feature on this shoe is the CLUCT embroidery seen throughout the quarter panel. Available now at Mita. Click here to view additional photos
