Today the trilogy is complete with the emergence of the Dune colorway. Much like its predecessors the Dune Del Barco carries on the California line by using premium nubuck, silver eyelets, and contrast stitching. Not only does the application of fine materials and fine detail separate these from the rest of the Vans pack but also the distribution. This Lagoon/Cream-Blunt Orange colorway was one of the original looks to release in 1967 and its back now 43 years later. Cream suede is used on the toe, tongue and heel, while Lagoon green leather fills out the upper. Blunt Orange accents can be found throughout, including on the leather liner and sole stripe. Metal eyelets add some additional charm to these classic kicks. We will continue to see hiking boot-inspired sneakers in the coming months. That said, we have now spotted a rare Nike Air Chukka Boot sample that is available in a size 9 on eBay. It definitely owns outdoor-ready attributes such as a very sturdy, durable outsole, an in-step strap for stability and a heel cup. The overall silhouette is constructed in a high cut and possesses premium leather. No word on when or if this sneaker will actually release; however, you can place your bid now on eBay. | Vans Vault Era LX “Inca Flower” Posted: 15 Jul 2010 11:58 AM PDT The “Inca Flower” design has now been seen gracing the sides of five total Vans Vault shoes, including the three Sk8-His that have surfaced in the last week or so. The fourth and fifth shoes are these Era LXs, which are now available at select retailers, including Proper. The color combinations form the aforementioned Sk8-His were carried over to these low tops, pairing brown with pink and grey with purple. The former shoe pairs nubuck with canvas while it’s leather that appears on the latter. | Vans Vault Chukka Boot “Buckleback” Posted: 15 Jul 2010 10:58 AM PDT It’s been a few months since we last saw the Vans Chukka Boot, but it’s back in two Vault colorways for fall that will make you feel like it never left. The “Buckleback” version features–you guess it–a buckle on its back. The canvas sneaker can be tightened at the heel via a belt style buckle, which is secured in place via a metal rivet. The eyelets match said rivet. Tan and navy blue uppers have been prepared, but don’t be surprised if more looks surface in the near future.
