Vans Authentic “Un-Parra”

Posted: 20 Apr 2010 12:28 PM PDT

Vans Authentic "Un-Parra"

Parra is the go-to name in footwear collaborators right now. Though the early-2010 Air Max 1 he designed wasn’t the first shoe he designed with a major brand and probably not his last, he may never top the hype garnered by that shoe. Vans has released this group of Authentics that look oddly similar to the collaboration pack the artist designed in 2009, possibly in attempt to capitalize on the attention anything he touches is receiving.

The first pair utilizes a blue canvas build with pink and white highlights throughout–very similar to the Authentics Parra designed. Other color combos include two tones of purple against blue, black with pink and blue and finally, a white pair that also uses those accents.

Jordan Flight 9 “Oreo”

Posted: 20 Apr 2010 11:58 AM PDT

A lot of you were pleased with the “Oreo” Air Jordan 6 Retro that released towards the latter part of March. However, we have now spotted a heavily-hated Jordan sneaker that features an oreo-like attribute as well. The Jordan Flight 9 “Oreo” is set to release later this year; yet, this size 9 is now available in an auction on eBay.

This particular Jordan Flight 9 possesses sort of a reverse color scheme to that of the previously mentioned Air Jordan 6 Retro “Oreo”. The predominately black base is comprised of suede (toe box), patent leather (toe area, heel), leather (predominance of the base) and features a black, net-like design on the side panels. Obviously, this shoe is nicknamed the “Oreo” because of its black/white speckled midsole. Nevertheless, details such as white, contrast stitching and white Jordan branding add to its distinctive look. Does the “Oreo” color scheme save this model or was it doomed to begin with? As stated earlier, this shoe is now available in a size 9 on eBay.

Nike Air Max+ 2010

Posted: 20 Apr 2010 11:28 AM PDT

Nike Air Max+ 2010

The Nike Air Max 24-7 originally looked like it would be the new Sportswear runner, even if it is a hybrid of previous models. The Air Max+ 2010 has surfaced though, and it’s bringing the AM2009’s beloved Air bag with it.

The upper has been swapped for this year to a design that relies on materials other than Flywire, though the quarter panel does proudly display the tech threads. The lateral forefoot area shows a mesh-like material and a super glossy finish reaches from the base of the midfoot to the toe and from side to side. An “Air Attack” Pack look has been generated for this run, though it is not yet confirmed that this shoe is a part of the collection. The first five colorways consist of four pairs with black uppers with accents of either red, neon yellow, silver or blue and another that’s almost completely neon yellow. Stay tuned for information and images of this emerging sneaker.

Nike SB Zoom P-Rod III Grey/Mean Green Sample

Posted: 20 Apr 2010 10:58 AM PDT

Nike SB Zoom P-Rod III

Lately, we have spotted some very nice Nike SB Zoom P-Rod III colorways such as the “Cinco De Mayo” pair and the royal blue/white colorway. In addition, we have spotted a yet-to-be-released Nike SB Zoom P-Rod III that is now available in an auction on eBay (size 9).

This particular pair may be one of, if not the best SB Zoom P-Rod III colorway yet. It simply owns a grey-colored base constructed of suede and leather; yet, its minimal mean green accents definitely give this shoe a distinctive color scheme. Those hints are specifically spotted on the heel, outsole and tongue. Lastly, this shoe is finished with a black swoosh, white laces and a white midsole. As stated earlier, you can now bid on this size 9 by way of eBay.

Nike Air Max Hyperize Richard Jefferson PEs

Nike Air Max Hyperize Richard Jefferson PEs

The Spurs’ Richard Jefferson was gifted some very clean Air Max Hyperizes from the team at Nike, which he’s been seen sporting against Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

Both shoes sport black and silver Flywire in their respective quarter panels, while the leather remainder of the upper is either white or black. The dark color-up matches with the Spurs’ away jerseys, while the other pair matches the uniforms worn in San Antonio. An interlocked R and J logo appears on the tongue tag of both shoes.

Footwear Faceoff: Deron Williams vs JR Smith

Posted: 20 Apr 2010 09:58 AM PDT

Footwear Faceoff

Earlier today, we highlighted Carmelo Anthony’s new Jordan Melo M6 “Future Sole” which may be the best colorway on that particular model. However, while Melo’s M6 “Future Sole” was the center of attention today, we spotted a rather interesting sneaker battle on the same court between a new Nike Basketball silhouette and an iD version of the signature Nike basketball shoe.

Deron Williams scored 33 points and handed out 14 assists while wearing Nike’s latest ‘Hyper’ basketball sneaker dubbed the Nike Hyperfuse. While this shoe has not released yet, it has garnered a lot of positive feedback and may be the best sneaker in Nike’s ‘Hyper’ series. His PEs coincided perfectly with the Jazz’s ‘Away’ jersey as navy blue smothers most of the base with addition of university blue accents. On the contrary, JR Smith sported his gold Nike Zoom Kobe V iDs in which many of you stated that it was the best Kobe V iD yet. This particular sneaker is equipped with a metallic gold finish and is complimented with a white midsole. Both sneakers were definitely a couple of the better shoes in Kicks On Court today; however, who owns the better sneaker in this battle?
