Pony Slam Dunk Model
For Pony’s 38th brand birthday, the classic Slam Dunk sneaker that was first released in 1981 will revive and eventually hit retailers this fall 2010. After 29 years, the iconic basketball show has been updated to meet the current fashion demand. However, the Pony Slam Dunk remake keeps its original basketball silhouette that will feature a dual color scheme and a primarily canvas-textured construction. This will be release along with other sneakers from Pony’s Archive Collection.

Nike Air Force 1 Hi White/Sport Red-Gum

Nike Air Force 1 Hi White/Sport Red-Gum

Nike looks to be taking the Air Force 1 back to its roots for this Summer. With seasonal releases like the “Hamptons” and the pair we see here hitting shelves regularly, it’s no wonder that white AF1s are such a staple in the sneaker community.

Like so many Forces that have come before this, the entire upper is white leather. The toe and heel panels are treated to the tumbled variety though, slightly breaking up all the white. Another prized design element is the gum outsole, which happens to sit underneath this pair. The only actual Sport Red elements found are on the tongue tag and heel embroidery. They’re beginning to hit shelves nationwide now,and the Nice Kicks shop can get you laced up now.

Air Jordan 9 Retro “Citrus”

Posted: 24 Jun 2010 12:28 PM PDT

Air Jordan 9 Citrus

We are now a little over a week away from the most highly-anticipated Air Jordan 9 of the year so far in the form of the Air Jordan 9 “Citrus”. Although it is officially set for a July 3rd release, multiple sizes are now available in auctions on eBay.

The Air Jordan 9 “Citrus” first surfaced at the beginning of January and immediately garnered a lot of attention. Its primarily black-colored base, coupled with minimal citrus-colored hints, provide this Air Jordan 9 with great color blocking. As stated earlier, you can obtain your pair now on eBay.

La MCJ x Lacoste Broadwick

La MCJ x Lacoste Broadwick

La MCJ channeled a nautical theme for this Lacoste Broadwick, which will hits shelves overseas the first week of July, including colette on the 3rd and Solemart the next day.

Blue and white seersucker is used on the upper, while embroidered anchors can be seen repeating all over. The heel and tongue tag break up the bright color theme and are instead a brown leather. Stamped on the latter panel is “Fluctuat Nec Mergitur,” or loosely translated, “It is tossed by the waves, but does not sink.”

AKM x mita x New Balance CM576

Posted: 24 Jun 2010 11:28 AM PDT

White based runners have always been a staple of the summer. Japanese brand AKM and Japanese boutique mita got together and went in for a fresh new take on the popular New Balance CM576.  The summer runner is composed of an all white upper set off with cream accents. A combination of smooth leather, tumbled leather, and contrast stitching gives this make up a simplistic and classic look. The shoe can be purchased now online through overseas retailer HYBAA.

Nike Trainer SC 2010 “Solar Red”

Nike Trainer SC 2010 "Solar Red"

With apologies to the “Baseball Glove,” the “Solar Red” Nike Trainer SC 2010 may be the hottest updated Bo Jackson signature to date. This pair was spotted long ago, but has since been given a release schedule, meaning they’ll be available the first week of July.

While the base for this shoe simply combines white mesh and black leather, the accent color is what makes these really pop. Solar Red is the choice hue on the Max Air sole, heel logo, contrast stitching and of course, the Flywire strips on either side of the midfoot. If you can’t wait to secure your pair, Kix-Files is now taking pre-orders.

Nike SB Dunk Low “Chrome Ball Incident”

Posted: 24 Jun 2010 09:58 AM PDT

Nike SB Dunk Low "Chrome Ball Incident"

Neil Blender is no stranger to designing skate shoes, so it should come as no surprise that he was asked to put together two Nike SB Dunks. Both the Urban Haze/Black High, of which we saw an early release yesterday, and this Low rely on clean color blocking, nice material selection and inspiration from Blender’s The Chrome Ball Incident blog.

Black leather is used on the quarter panel, toe box and ankle, while Medium Grey suede finishes off the construction of the upper. Emerald suede is used for Swoosh and the same hue can be seen on the outsole, liner and midsole stitching.
