| Nike Air Max LeBron VII Custom by Li Quiqui Posted: 25 Aug 2009 11:58 AM PDT  Do not think for a second that the Nike Air Max LeBron VII will go away anytime soon. Photos of this shoe in many different styles and colors continue to flood the web consistently. The most recent to show up is this customized edition created by Beijing artist Li Quiqui. Quiqui personally equipped LeBron James with this particular shoe at a Nike grassroots activity in Beijing. As for the makeup, this Air Max LeBron VII is inspired by many things to say the least. First off, the predominance of gold on the base represents the sun’s power and the imperial heritage of the city. In addition, the Si He Courtyard on the shoe, which spells out the letters, LBJ, pays tribute to Beijing's one-of-a-kind architectural makeup in the beginning days of the city. Although it seems as if the lion would represent LeBron’s logo, it really stands for the two lions statues that are visible at the front antique-styled home gates in Beijing. Last but not least, a picture of an eye appears on the heel of the shoe. Quiqui says, "The eye at the back of the shoe is my good wish to LeBron…I wish for him to always have full visibility both on court and off court." | realmadHECTIC x mita x New Balance MT580 Posted: 25 Aug 2009 11:45 AM PDT  Japanese brands realmadHECTIC and mita have partnered yet again to bring you these New Balance MT580s. The three brands have a long and storied relationship with each other, and with this model, so it should come as no surprise that they’re back at it. This pair’s design is clean and simple, sporting a navy blue heel and carolina toe. The two shades meet in the middle, fading into one another on the leather upper. Cream panels provide accents on the toe, near the heel and on the tongue. Near the toe, a multicolored confetti design breaks up all the blue, adding in just a tiny bit of yellow and pink. Meanwhile, the “Go Hectic” lace tag reminds wearers of realmadHECTIC’s involvement with these sneakers. This design may not be as wild as some of the three’s past designs, but the simple colorway makes for a clean take on a classic running silhouette. Obviously, it features a 100% silver/black base with the majority of it smothered in silver foamposite material. Similar to the aforementioned black/black colorway and this original colorway, this sneaker features braided shoelace design that coincides with the electric-like design on the inside of the shoe. The other attributes which include holograms on the tongue and outsole, a visible Air sole unit and a mirror-reflecting Penny logo remain the same. But that’s exactly what éS and Crooked Tongues have done by coming together to launch The Foothills Collection. Rather than opt to create an éS sneaker with a Crooked Tongues logo, the Foothills collection, which includes three colorways of the first sneaker offering, a hat, backpack and jacket, has a personality all its own. The sneaker features a mix of both technical skating materials and natural offerings, like suede, nubuck and canvas.
