Nike Killshot Vintage

Nike has applied the vintage style to many of its classic sneakers this year including the Vandal, the Blazer and the Tennis Classic. In the same manner, Nike has just released the classic Killshot model in a similar design at select retailers including Mita.

Obviously, this sneaker features the worn-out, off-white colored sole just like the aforementioned models. The upper features a plethora of materials including mesh (the predominance of upper), leather (swoosh, heel tab) and suede (midfoot, toe area, heel panel). Last but not least, colorways will include white/blue and and white/red. As stated earlier, both colorways are now available at Mita.

Alife Chuck All Weather “RGB Pack”

Posted: 22 Oct 2009 12:28 PM PDT

Alife Chuck All Weather "RGB Pack"

The Alife Chuck is a clean, smooth dress sneaker. The last few times we’ve seen releases for this silhouette, like the Fall 2009 line-up they’ve been in blacks, browns and tans, providing a more formal look than a traditional sneaker. The “RGB Pack,” which is available now, breaks that pattern, releasing three all-weather pairs in bright solid colors.

Using completely suede uppers, this Chuck is available in blue, green and red. All three use matching soles, providing a completely monotone look. They also feature the standard Alife sock liner for additional comfort.

Click here for pics of all three.

House of Hoops Grand Opening in Maryland

House of Hoops Grand Opening in Maryland

Just last week, Houston, Texas got its second House of Hoops location, and now Hyattsville, Maryland is getting one too. This Sunday, October 25th, the existing Foot Locker store in the Mall at Prince Georges will open an in-store HOH.

Washington Wizard Caron Butler will be on hand from 2-4 PM, meeting and greeting. There is also slated to be some rare kicks on hand, though no exact release information has been given just yet. Given the Wizards’ on-going rivalry with the Cavaliers, don’t expect to see Caron shopping for the LeBron VII, even on its big release weekend.

We’re sure Prince George locals Kevin Durant and Wale are happy about the news. Aren’t you?

Converse + Elton Brand Introduce the EB2

Posted: 22 Oct 2009 10:58 AM PDT

Jordan Flight 45

Converse signed power forward Elton Brand to a sneaker contract at the beginning of the 2008-09 NBA season. However, Brand was unable to play a lot of games in his then newly-designed Converse EB1 due to an injury. This year, barring any injury, Brand will be lacing up his second signature sneaker dubbed the Converse EB2.

As stated in out previous posts about the EB2, it contains distinctive features that are different from the EB1. The EB2 possesses a non-velcro, two-strap design across the same area. Logos are also featured, namely the Converse logo (side panel) and the Elton Brand logo (collar area). Yet, in the same manner of the EB1, this particular sneaker possesses a similar to the EB1. High Snobiety x Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III

High Snobiety x Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III Sneak Peek

Completing the trilogy with Asics and David Z is this High Snobiety and Ronnie Fieg Asics Gel Lyte III. The other two parts of this were the Culture Shoq collaboration and of course, our very own Gel Lyte III, which you’re going to need an eBay account to get at this point.

From what we can see, Ronnie, who was involved in the entire trilogy design process, used a healthy dose of patent leather on the toe cap and for the eyestays. Navy perforated suede is used for the topside of the toe section, much like on our own version. The laces use two colors, mixing silver and blue. It looks like the navy suede continues along the side as well, filling the panel behind the Asics arches logo.

If you slept on our collaboration, don’t make the same mistake again, and stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
