Nike Zoom Kobe V Bruce Lee

Posted: 08 Jan 2010 10:40 PM PST

Nike Zoom Kobe V Bruce Lee
With the lightest basketball shoe, the Kobe V, Nike has come to create a theme to represent Bryant’s love for Kung Fu. The sneaker is dubbed as “Bruce Lee”, also in honor of the late Kung Fu Master. A Yellow upper symbolizes Lee’s bodysuit in his movie “The Game of Death” while the scratch marks found on the toe are his scratches while fighting in “Enter the Dragon” film. Black covers the remainder including the Swoosh. [NiceKicks]

Air Jordan Alpha 1 “Bred”

Posted: 09 Jan 2010 11:58 AM PST

Air Jordan Alpha 1 "Bred"

Nike and Jordan love to bring their classics back with new technology and added features. The Air Jordan 1 has been done in a million colorways and materials, but has never been given enough of a makeover to make it a completely different shoe. Until now.

The upper of the original is still used with new materials, like the perforated leather on the toe, tongue and mid-panel. Matte finish black covers the toe box and midfoot, while red is used for the remainder, including the heel and toe areas. These are expected to have a wide release mid-January, but you can grab a pair early at Extra Butter starting now. The OG AJ1 in this colorway was ranked number 2 in our “Best of Bred” list, and the addition of the full-length Zoom bag can only mean good things for this updated classic.

Air Jordan 1 “Silver Anniversary”

Posted: 09 Jan 2010 11:13 AM PST

Air Jordan 1 "Silver Anniversary"

The Air Jordan 1 “Silver Anniversary” represents the entire span of Jordan Brand. 25 years later, the first signature silhouette is still a sought-after shoe. This specific shoe was designed to pay tribute to those 25 years, so this release has even more meaning to it.

Early birds were able to get the worm at an up-charge, but the official release of these means you can grab these at retail, including the very detailed suitcase packaging we took a look at awhile back. As you may recall, a mixture of grye nubuck and silver metallic leather is used for the uppers, with the new “23″ logo appearing on the tongue. You can grab these now at Sneakersnstuff.

Nike Air Force 1

Yesterday, we notified you of the men’s Nike Air Force 1 “Valentine’s Day” being available in a size 9.5 on eBay. Are these Nike WMNS Air Force 1 Premium “Valentine’s Day” better than the men’s pair for 2010?

This year, Nike smothered the women’s “Valentine’s Day” Air Force 1 with a 100% varsity red base. The colorway is about the only thing simple in regards to this particular Air Force 1. The toe area, heel tab and laceholder area all feature a unique, monochromatic, animal-like print done up in patent leather and nubuck. The rest of the upper features a premium leather finishing. Other details include a patent leather swoosh and metallic gold hints (Nike tongue logo tag, debray heel tab). To compliment this one-of-a-kind sneaker, Nike will package it in  a red and gold box. Look for this shoe to release on February 16th, 2010. Click here to view detailed photos.

Posted: 08 Jan 2010 03:58 PM PST

What’s not to love about waterproof kicks? This Air Force 1 is perfect for those who need something to keep their feet warm and dry but don’t need a pair of Tims or Foamdomes.

Nike decided to use two different waterproof materials for the all-olive upper. It also owns a solid gum bottom and a white check. These are definitely a pair of Forces that can be worn in any season.

Did you purchase or pass on these a couple of years ago in 2008? Click here to share with us your opinion on this shoe.

If you want your Air Force Friday story on the site, you have to do three simple things. First, become a Nice Kicks friend on Facebook. Secondly, become a member of the Nice Kicks group on Facebook.
