Jordan Schoolin' Ray Allen PE

During the 2008-09 NBA Playoffs, Boston Celtics guard Ray Allen sported the newly-designed Jordan Rulez model. JB always seems to introduce new Jordan sneakers on Allen’s feet first. That said, check out the latest design dubbed the Jordan Schoolin’.

This particular model features a predominately leather upper with minuscule mesh sections throughout the side panels. The bottom half of the shoe contains a snakeskin texture design with the Jumpman logo on the quarter panel. This Ray Allen PE, dipped in Boston Celtics colors, will release tomorrow, June 12th, 2009 at all House of Hoops locations. What are your thoughts on the Jordan Schoolin’? Nike Vandal Black Elephant

Posted: 11 Jun 2009 12:25 PM PDT

Nike Vandal Black Elephant

The Nike Vandal is a hit or miss silhouette with many sneakerheads, perhaps adding the timeless elephant print to the silhouette will convince the naysayers? Or is the elephant print becoming tired?

This Nike Vandal Black Elephant is a simple black and white colorway. Elephant print in black adds some depth to the simple lines of the Vandal. Straps haven’t seen this much popularity since the days of the Air Jordan 8, so the combination may work for many folks that normally wouldn’t take a second look at the Vandal.

What do you think, cop or not?

Nike Air Force 1 Low Premium Dark Obsidian/Varsity Maize

This past Saturday, Nike released one of the Nike Air Force 1 colorways included in the "LeBron" Pack. In a similar form, Nike is set to release another general release colorway of the Nike Air Force 1 Premium.

This particular Air Force 1 contains the same, identical makeup of the aforementioned Black/Red LeBron Nike Air Force 1. It features a 100% dark obsidian upper combined with a traditional white sole.  The side panels are smothered in mesh, while the rest of the sneaker is done up in premium leather. Also, minimal varsity maize details appear on the shoelaces, inner lining and on the Nike tongue logo. No word on when this shoe will drop, however, click here to view additional photos.

Throwback Thursday: Nike Air Griffey Max III

Posted: 11 Jun 2009 10:22 AM PDT

Nike Air Griffey Max III

For the past 20 years, has there been a better baseball player than Ken Griffey Jr? More than 600 clean HR’s, 13 All Star appearances, 10 Gold Gloves, and a swing so clean it became his logo. We’ll leave the official debate for ESPN, but when it comes to footwear, no other baseball player has had as solid of a line as Junior.

To celebrate Griff’s 20 years in the big league this year, the Griffey Max 1 and Swingman Remix were brought out, but there are still some shoes from the line we wouldn’t mind seeing return.

More than just an aesthetically unique shoe, the Nike Air Griffey Max III offers incredibly comfortable cushioning and stability. Heel and forefoot Max Air provides the soft ride while a Footscape-esque lacing system plus cross strap locks your foot into the shoe.

Beyond the way the shoe looks and performs, history of footwear is so often written by the man who wore them and what was accomplished. In 1998, Griffey was coming off an MVP season and followed up again with 56 homeruns but came up 1 short of matching his prior year pushing 146 RBI’s.

Are there any other Griffey’s you would like to see return? Click here to get a better look at these as well as to let us know what you think.

Nike Hoop Structure OG Colorway

The Air Hoop Structure has been seen in a number of colorways. Including some simple classics, and Jordan inspired editions.

The latest is the Nike Hoop Structure “OG Colorway”, which is done up in the most classic colorup of the Structure Triax running shoe. According to Tyjuan of LDRS, these are a very solid shoe all around in terms of comfort and "headturnability". Definitely a fresh look. Is this the best colorway so far?

Click here to let us know what you think.

Under Armour Prototype Black/Yellow

Posted: 11 Jun 2009 09:46 AM PDT

Under Armour Prototype Black/Yellow Brandon Jennings PE

Every time we spotlight the Under Armour Prototype, our comment section goes crazy with rave reviews about this sneaker. We have already shown you the Black/Black colorway and the White/Blue/Red-Yellow colorway, however, is this Under Armour Prototype Black/Yellow the best one so far?

It contains a predominately black upper with heavy perforated side panels. It also possesses patent leather on the heel and toe area, while featuring an inner sleeve as well. Should other basketball footwear brands feel threatened? In addition, Brandon Jennings is the first Under Armour Basketball signee; therefore, this particular shoe is his PE. If he becomes a star in the league, could Under Armour become a staple in the basketball shoe arena?
