Nike LeBron VII P.S. White/Midnight Navy

Posted: 17 May 2010 12:58 PM PDT

Nike LeBron VII P.S. White/Midnight Navy

Just last week reported on the release of the “Summit Lake Hornets” colorway of the Nike LeBron VII P.S. Today we’re finally getting a release date for this colorway, which was one of the first looks we saw on this playoff-specific sneaker. If you’re after this color-up, they can be yours on May 28th.

White leather wraps around the base of the upper, matching up to the same colored midsole. Matching the quarter panel’s Midnight Navy Flywire is a semi-translucent outsole. The same hue is also used on the cross-stitched liner. Varsity Red accents also appear throughout. LBJ never got a chance to wear these with a Cleveland jersey, and with this Summer’s impending free agency issue, he may never. They would match a Nets uniform perfectly, though.

Reebok GL 6000 Grey/Blue

Posted: 17 May 2010 12:28 PM PDT

Earlier this month, we showed you Reebok’s “Woven Label” Collection which features four new colorways of the GL 6000 model. Although the “Woven “Label” Collection is set to release some time in the fall/winter 2010 season, we have now spotted a Reebok GL 6000 that is now available at Cali Roots.

This particular Reebok Retro Runner, a sneaker that is making a return after 10 years, is seen here in a predominately grey suede base combined with various sections of white nylon mesh on the upper. It also contains minimal blue hints such as the Reebok logo (side panels), inner lining and Reebok branding (side panels, tongue).  To finish it off, this Reebok GL 6000 is complimented with a white/grey midsole, a black outsole and white laces. Available now at Cali Roots. View detailed photos below.

Nike Air Force 1 White/Marina Blue

Posted: 17 May 2010 11:58 AM PDT

Nike Air Force 1 White/Marina Blue

This morning saw us start our week with an Air Force 1 showing off a very clean White/Reflective Silver pair. This next look borrows a cue from the Futura x Nike releases, as they incorporate perforated leather on heel-most areas.

Patent leather covers the toe area, while the aforementioned perforated leather is used for the quarter panels and heel. Marina Blue patent leather is found on the heel panel and Swoosh, and is complemented by the semi-translucent outsole. Clearly these AF1s are intended for Summer usage. Purchase or pass when they release mid-next month?

New Balance 574 “3M” Collection

Posted: 17 May 2010 11:28 AM PDT

We have spotted some very nice New Balance 574 colorways as of late including the “Pinnacle” New Balance 574 and the “Sonic Weld” New Balance 574 Pack. New Balance will also release a “3M” 574 collection that is slated to hit retailers this summer.

Each New Balance 574 in this collection owns 3M reflective material; however, some are constructed in leather, while others feature suede finishes. The leather New Balance 574s feature the 3M reflective attributes on the New Balance logo (side panels) and the heel panel, while the suede-constructed New Balance 574s contain the 3M reflective material throughout the midfoot. Colorways include different shades of blue, green and grey. Look for this collection to hit retailers this summer. View the collection in its entirety below.

Nike Zoom Kobe VI/MS II Sample

Posted: 17 May 2010 10:58 AM PDT

Nike Zoom Kobe VI Sample First Look

When the Nike Zoom Kobe V first debuted, it was confirmed that Kobe would be sticking with a low cut on his signature models. Ergo, it should come as no surprise that the ZKVI and/or its MS II off-shoot will also be of the Low variety.

This is the first look we’ve had of any Zoom Kobe VI model, though much of this sneaker is likely to change. The lack of Flywire present along the sides could be because these are samples, but could also mean that these are the “Zoom Kobe MS II”. The overall shape is very similar to previous Kobe models, and the shape of the sole forefoot and heel cup are clearly inspired by the those on the Zoom Kobe V. The leather upper’s toe area shows a snakeskin print, which is of course a nod to Kobe’s “Black Mamba” nickname. If this is in fact the Zoom Kobe VI and doesn’t change much, do you see yourself grabbing a pair?

Footwear Faceoff: Ray Allen vs Rajon Rondo

Posted: 17 May 2010 10:28 AM PDT

The Boston Celtics as a whole rock some of the better sneakers in our Kicks On Court regularly. Michael Finley, Nate Robinson, Rasheed Wallace, Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo have all been seen in some nice footwear at least once. Although the latter two players form one of the more potent point guard/shooting guard duos in the game today, we have them going against each other in today’s Footwear Faceoff.

Ray Allen laced up one of his many Jordan Icons PEs, while Rajon Rondo continues to sport the newly-designed Nike Hyperfuse model. Allen’s Icons own a black and green colored base comprised of patent leather and leather, while Rondo’s Hyperfuse PEs  are colored in white and green. Which basketball sneaker player exclusive interests you the most? Does Ray Allen’s patent leather Jordan Icons stand at the top or are Rondo’s Nike Hyperfuse the best sneaker in today’s Footwear Faceoff?

**Note**: Participate in our newly-designed Footwear Faceoff voting poll below and choose whose basketball sneakers you liked more.

Oshman’s x New Balance 1700 “25th Anniversary”

Posted: 17 May 2010 09:58 AM PDT

Oshman's x New Balance 1700 "25th Anniversary"

Oshman’s is no stranger to the New Balance arsenal of sneakers. Having designed a number of collaborative color-ups with the shoemaker, it’s only fitting that the two brands partner up again to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the sporting goods retailer on this 1700.

One of the retailer’s more simple NB designs, black leather covers the upper of this pair almost entirely. Appearing in the toe box, forefoot and collar area is a black and white grate-patterned material. White is used to contrast the dark upper on the midsole, branding embroidery and N logo along the quarter panel.
