24 Kilates x Las Tres ZZZ x Asics “San Fermín” Pack

Posted: 11 Jun 2010 12:58 PM PDT

24 Kilates x Tres ZZZ x Asics Gel Lyte III "San Fermin"

In honor of the Spanish San Fermines Fiesta, Barcelona retailer 24 Kilates and Pamplona-based wine skin maker Las Tres ZZZ teamed up to create this special edition Asics.

Drawing inspiration from a traditional Spanish bota bag, tan suede looks as though it could cover the entire upper. Red contrast stitching is implemented along the sides. A white midsole sits just above a red outsole, and the same color combination is used on the split-tongue midfoot and liner. The pair will release on July 10th.

Air Jordan 9 White/Citrus-Deep Forest

Posted: 11 Jun 2010 12:28 PM PDT

We have witnessed three Air Jordan 9 releases so far this year; yet, there are many more to look forward to throughout the second half of the year (see our Got 90 IX Problems but the Kicks Ain’t One). With that said, check out these newly-developed photos of the Air Jordan 9 White/Citrus-Deep Forest.

Although the base is primarily colored in white, notice the two-textured construction it possesses. White leather smothers the majority of the base while a patent leather strip completely covers the bottom half of the sneaker. This Air Jordan 9 is also offset by deep forest/citrus accents such as the Jumpman branding on the heel/sole and the laces which also possess a repeating ‘Jordan’ script in black. No word on when this shoe will hit retailers; meanwhile, view detailed photos below.

Vans Surf SRPLS Camo Ripstop

Posted: 11 Jun 2010 11:28 AM PDT

We have seen our fair share of camo-printed sneakers such as the Reebok Pump Omni Lite “Kubrick” Pack, the Nike Lunar Rejuven8 Mid, and the Vans TNT Mid II Cup S. In addition to the latter sneaker mentioned, Vans has now unleashed its Surf SRPLS model in a similar construction.

It simply possesses a dark-tinted camouflage print throughout the entire upper. This Surf SRPLS is specifically created using a ripstop material and sits atop a white, vulcanized rubber sole. Lastly, black laces and an inner lining of the same color, complete this shoe’s color scheme. Now available at Wish in Atlanta for $44.

Jordan One6One7 White/University Blue

Posted: 11 Jun 2010 11:13 AM PDT

Jordan One6One7 White/University Blue

The white and University Blue colorway is as much of a staple for Jordan Brand as the “Bred” scheme, so it only makes sense that the One6One7 is also treated to the UNC tribute. Ray Allen has been sporting this shoe in the Finals and even wore a PE version in his record-setting Game 2 performance, and don’t be surprised if the Tarheels take the court in this or a similar shoe when the NCAA hoops season begins this Fall.

Tumbled white leather is used for the upper’s heel-most area, while patent covers the forefoot and heel panels. The University Blue suede on the midfoot is matched by the laces and midsole, and mock chrome accent pieces can be seen on the eyelets and heel.

Air Jordan 13 Retro “Bin 23″ First Look

Posted: 11 Jun 2010 10:43 AM PDT

Just a week ago, Jordan Brand released its latest offering from the Bin 23 Collection in the form of the Air Jordan 9. Surprisingly, many of you expressed your eagerness in attempting to obtain this sneaker when it released on June 4th. However, if you were not able to get your hands on the Air Jordan 9, you can now look forward to the next Air Jordan Bin 23 offering, namely this Air Jordan 13 Retro.

At a first glance, this Air Jordan 13 may look very similar; this particular Air Jordan 13 colorway was actually a canceled sample back in 2005. Nevertheless, it possesses a some very interesting, distinctive attributes much like the preceding Bin 23 offerings including the aforementioned Air Jordan 9 and the Air Jordan 2 Premio. In detail, this Air Jordan 13 features a predominately suede-like material throughout the upper. This is something we have never seen on this model as every other Air Jordan 13 possesses 3M, mesh-like construction. Additionally, two different colors, including a burgundy-like shade and a tan-like tint, appear on the base, while white hints appear in the form of the sole, tongue and toe area. However, the most intriguing feature on this sneaker is the placement of the stamp. It is centered on the tongue as opposed to being stamped on the lateral side of the shoe.

Stay tuned for more information regarding this sneaker. What are your preliminary thoughts regarding the Air Jordan 13 Retro “Bin 23″?

Sneaker Art: Air Jordan Storage Box

Posted: 11 Jun 2010 09:58 AM PDT

Sneaker Art: Air Jordan Storage Box

Yesterday, we took a look at a very impressive homemade stained glass window Air Jordan 1. To follow that artistic venture, we’re now seeing a storage box created to resemble the box of older Air Jordans.

John McGloin, a reader who studied architecture in college, made this functional art at home. All of the box’s branding elements, including the size 12 label, were done by hand. Clearly John is a fan of the “Space Jam,” though the product code seen is actually for the “Oreo” Air Jordan 6. Do all of the creations we’ve seen lately have you thinking of a way to get artistic with your sneaker addiction?
