HUF Choice for Fall 2010

A complete look at an upcoming HUF Footwear silhouette to release later this year has been spotted. The Choice, a low top, was spotted as a part of the “Star” Collection, but this is our first look at other in-line colorways.

Both color-ups have been treated to completely suede uppers, and are monochromatic. The upper is divided into four main areas–the toe, quarter panels, heel and midfoot. Though the shoe design uses a very simple shape and silhouette, stitching along the quarters in the shape of an H helps differentiate these from other simple vulcanized sneakers we’ve seen in the past. Expect more than just these black and red shoes to drop come this Fall.

adidas TS Ace Commander

Posted: 12 Apr 2010 11:58 AM PDT

adidas TS Ace Commander

The adidas TS Commander model has been a staple in our Kicks On Court for the past two years. Players such as Dwight Howard, Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan have worn different variations of this shoe such as the Supernatural Commander, the Commander and the Commander LT. We now have photos of the next variation of this shoe dubbed the adidas TS Ace Commander.

The adidas TS Ace Commander is surprisingly derived from a women’s shoe. Specifically, this model was first a player exclusive for Los Angeles Sparks forward Candace Parker. It features an EVA midsole, Climacool technology and adiprene cushioning. As for other design details, this shoe has been given a triple-stripe midfoot strap, a clear, patent leather rand and is dressed in a black/red color scheme. No word yet on if we will see some of the adidas Basketball members in these sneakers come playoff time; however, click here to share with us your thoughts on the newly-designed adidas TS Ace Commander.

New Balance M670 Sand/Charcoal-Orange

New Balance M670 Sand/Charcoal-Orange

The New Balance 670 has landed in a natural colorway at select retailers. The last time we saw this model, Solebox had created an incredibly clean collaborative sneaker that would unfortunately remain a sample. This shoe is nearly as clean, but will actually be attainable to the average sneaker fiend.

Sand suede is used for the toe, mid-panel and heel areas, which provides a great canvas off which the orange leather on the N logo and heel panel can further be emphasized. Charcoal mesh fills in the toe box, tongue and near the collar. Matching leather can be found on the trademark N.

Nike Zoom Kobe V “Photo Blue”

Posted: 12 Apr 2010 10:28 AM PDT

We showed you this Nike Zoom Kobe V “Photo Blue” at the end of March, and many of you labeled it one of the better colorways on this model to date. At the time, we only had photos of this upcoming sneaker; however, we have now learned that the Nike Zoom Kobe V “Photo Blue” will hit retailers in July.

This particular sneaker is one of the few Kobe V general releases that doesn’t possess the Lakers color scheme (unless you’re on NikeiD). The photo blue color scheme is throughout the base, specifically appearing in a snakeskin-like material on the toe area and midfoot. In addition, photo blue mesh is seen on the heel panel. To finish this Kobe V, Nike added a black midsole, a white swoosh and a white outsole. As stated earlier, this shoe will be available at select retailers in July. How does this Kobe V rank amongst previous colorways you have seen? Click here to view detailed photos.

Nike Air Max 90 Premium Black/White-Vibrant Yellow

The Nike Air Max 90 has been spotted in a new colorway for Summer, and this time, its carrying premium materials. Sporting a primarily dark build, this pair gets a bit of help from accent colors throughout.

Vibrant yellow can be found not only in the heel Max Air unit, but also on the plastic parts at the midfoot and heel. White leather works its way in on the Swoosh and laces, and Medium Grey mesh helps on the liner. The remainder of the sneaker is black, mixing leather and mesh. The midsole is also black, and a touch of grey can be seen again on the heel outsole. These haven’t stateside quite yet, but can be found at SneakersNStuff if you’re after a pair.

Kicks On Court: Lakers Unveil “Kid Hollywood” Kobe V

Posted: 12 Apr 2010 08:58 AM PDT

If you recall, Nike Basketball constructed a Nike Zoom Kobe V iD contest in which the winning design would be worn by Kobe Bryant in a game this year. The contest, which began on March 2nd and ended on March 9th, was won by Kobe fan Jason Hamilton AKA “Kid Hollywood”. Check out today’s Kicks On Court to see Hamilton’s design on Kobe and some of the Lakers’ feet.

In a down-to-the-wire loss to the Portland TrailBlazers, Kobe Bryant and a few of his teammates wore NikeiD contest winner Kid Hollywood’s fantastic Kobe V design. Sticking with the Lakers alternate jersey color scheme, Hollywood applied a primarily white-colored base with minimal yellow and purple hints on the base. However, the most glaring attributes on this shoe lie in the form of the multiple metallic silver hints throughout the shoe. We must applaud Kid Hollywood for this nice, unique, highly-detailed Kobe V color design. Is this one of, if not the best Kobe V yet? Click here to view this new Kobe V plus other sneakers worn by Amare Stoudemire, Juwan Howard, Dwight Howard and more.

Nike 6.0 Dunk Low SE Surf Blue & Black

Canvas Nike Dunks may be the next big thing it seems, as these two 6.0 versions are the latest in a recent streak to hit retailers. You’ll likely remember the grey Low CL colorway that dropped not too long ago.

These two pairs not only feature canvas uppers, helping them separate themselves immediately, but also feature vulcanized soles. Both utilize white soles with black stripes, and the first pair relies on black for its upper as well. A white Swoosh is used for contrast. The second pair makes use of Surf Blue for its upper, and gets help from black on the Swoosh, liner and laces. Both pairs can be grabbed now at Nike Store.
