| Release Reminder: Jordan Fly Wade “Pimento” & Black/Varsity Red Posted: 04 May 2011 12:58 PM PDT Tomorrow, May 5, 2011, Jordan Brand will officially release Dwyane Wade’s first signature sneaker, the Jordan Fly Wade, at retailers nationwide. The Jordan Fly Wade is the lightest Jordan basketball sneaker to date (13 oz) and is inspired by Wade's aggressive style of play. Designed by Jordan Creative Director Mark Smith and Senior Footwear Designer Tom Luedecke, the Fly Wade incorporates Dwyane Wade's new #3 logo on the tongue, features crackled elephant print on the outsole and combines a Nike Zoom unit in the forefoot with a Max Air unit in the heel. Both, the Pimento/White-Black and Black/Varsity Red-Dark Grey Jordan Fly Wade colorways will retail for $140 tomorrow and be available in China on Saturday, May 7, 2011. Already this Spring, we’ve seen a multitude of colorways including the Bodega x Nike Air Footscape Woven Chukka and the Nike Air Footscape Woven Chukka "3HC." Today, another pair has surfaced that also sports an “earthy” feel. This pair utilizes a supple brown leather material throughout the upper with an off-white synthetic inner lining, speckled off-white midsole, and gum outsole complimenting the overall theme. From Lamar Odom accepting the Sixth Man award in a pair to Rajon Rondo lacing up his own for a late season playoff push, this shoe has been methodically debuted by only the league’s stars. Russell Westbrook has also been deemed worthy of rocking the second generation of the Zoom Hyperfuse, though this colorway has seen on court wear just yet. A Thunder-inspired blue and orange coloring covers the entire shoe, making it a surefire head-turner. Look for this sneaker to maybe make hit the hardwood when OKC faces Memphis this Saturday.
