| Wall Rocks Reebok Zig Slash in Wizards Workout Posted: 17 Jun 2010 01:13 PM PDT A week ago, future number one draft pick John Wall relayed his Reebok signing message to the world via Twitter. Many of you criticized Wall’s five-year, $25 million signing to Reebok; however, some of you agreed that this can potentially be something big similar to Allen Iverson’s venture with Reebok. Whether you approve or not, Wall wasted no time in supporting his new sneaker basketball team. John Wall was spotted wearing the newly-designed Reebok Zig Slash in a workout for the Washington Wizards. If you recall, we have shown you a few Reebok Zig Slash colorways; yet, we have never seen the pair Wall wore in yesterday’s workout. One can argue that this Reebok Zig Slash was designed with the University of Kentucky color scheme in mind, but if the Washington Wizard pick Wall with the first pick in the draft, he will possibly wear this exact same shoe in the NBA next year. The Reebok Zig Slash, which has been labeled the ‘energy drink for your feet‘, possesses Reebok’s latest Zig Technology, notably seen on the sole construction. What are your thoughts in regards to Wall’s Reebok Zig Slash? | Posted: 17 Jun 2010 12:58 PM PDT At first look you may dismiss this Nike as a trail-ready ACG model. Don’t jump to conclusions though, as it is actually a Lunar-enhanced sneaker. The above-noted Lunar sole sits underneath in a black-speckled grey hue and the upper makes use of another Nike technology: Flywire. The purple and black upper is contrasted by a red Swoosh and orange liner. They’re perfectly suited for those who do most of their traveling on foot and can be grabbed on the first of August. The “Sneaker Friends” episode obviously focused on an exact encounter at the event, while ‘Is it the Shoes?’ brought light to the hard-fought Oklahoma City Thunder vs Los Angeles Lakers series. Today’s SN’EADS episode 8 focuses on one of the most talked-about subjects within the hip hop community. Celebrity Sneaker Stalker regulars Wale, Kid Cudi and Drake make appearance in episode 8. It’s starts off with Wale bragging about his sneaker heat; yet, it seems Kid Cudi has given up on sneaker competition and prefers to rock the kilts instead. | Supra TK Society Warm Grey & Navy Canvas Posted: 17 Jun 2010 11:58 AM PDT Two new colorways of the TK Society are ready for purchase and should be at your local shop very soon, though one can be grabbed now at Factory 413 if you just can’t wait. The first sports a completely monochromatic upper of navy blue canvas. Providing contrast is the sole, which is solid gum. The second is constructed with suede and pairs together two different shades of grey. The lower area of the shoe shows a dark grey hue, while the straps and ankle are a very light color. | Posted: 17 Jun 2010 11:28 AM PDT We have not seen the Big Nike as much as the Dunk, Blazer or Air Force 1 this year; however, select retailers such as Premier now has a fresh colorway of this 1985-released sneaker available in multiple sizes. This particular Nike Big Nike features a colorway that is very similar to the Nike SB Dunk Mid Pro we showed you a couple of days ago. Sport red covers the side panels, toe box and tongue, while the rest of the base is constructed in black suede. As with all Big Nike models, the enlarged ‘NIKE’ logo rests on the heel in red block letters. Lastly, a white midsole and black outsole finish this shoe off. View detailed photos below. | Nike Blazer “Quilted Satin” Sail & Varsity Red Posted: 17 Jun 2010 10:58 AM PDT The Nike Blazer has been seen in a number of “Quilted Satin” looks lately, including a two shoe WMNS Low Pack. Two more Mids have been spotted at Cali retailer Proper sporting similar make-ups. The first sports a Sail satin and leather upper. A dark grey Swoosh and red liner add splashes of color. The second is covered in Varsity Red satin and leather on the sides and toe/midfoot, respectively. It sports a gold Swoosh and quilt stitching. The latter feature is also seen on the first shoe. | Posted: 17 Jun 2010 10:28 AM PDT Following the Sonny Weems PEAK PEs we showed you at the top of the week, we now have multiple photos of Mikael Pietrus’s PEAK PEs. If you recall, Pietrus wore many different Nike sneakers during the 2008-2009 NBA season; however, this past season, he rocked PEAK and may have owned the best player exclusives of that particular brand. Mikael’s PEs are most recognizable because of the enlarged PEAK logo that sits between the toe area and midfoot. The same area also features horizontal blue lines that coincide with curvy lines throughout the heel area. As for the side panels, one side features Mikael’s initials, while the other side features the words, Stand Together.
