| Nike Air Max Sweep Thru Amar’e Stoudemire PE Posted: 19 Aug 2011 12:38 PM PDT If you recall, New York Knicks power forward Amar’e Stoudemire debuted the newly designed Nike Ar Max Sweep Thru at the Nike Basketball Amar’e Stoudemire Skills Academy a couple of months ago. We now have another look at the yet-to-be-released Nike Air Max Sweep Thru in a new New York Knicks-esque color scheme. Stoudemire has stated that he loves basketball shoes with velcro straps, and this new model seems to be right up his ally. Orange and white straps appear on the midfoot area similar to the timeless Nike Air Raid model. The predominance of the upper is comprised of blue leather and features additional orange and white accents, which is reminiscent of his Nike Zoom Huarache Trainer PE. Look for the Nike Air Max Sweep Thru to hit retailers in multiple colorways during the months of October and November. Fighter plane inspiration, icy outsole, 3M tongue; the list of notable features just goes on and on. The latest retro version of this one brings back all the nostalgia, as tomorrow sees it hit shelves like it was 1990 again. Though to be fair, the original didn't sport #23 embroidery. Either way, this undeniable Air Jordan can be yours starting tomorrow nationwide. | LeBron James Nike China Tour Recap Posted: 19 Aug 2011 12:10 PM PDT Earlier this month, we gave you a multi-photo recap of the Jordan Brand Flight Tour, which featured Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony. Following that successful trek, LeBron James and Nike traveled to China for the Nike Festival of Sport, a four day experience set in Shanghai. In addition to promoting the game of basketball in the far east, Nike and LeBron also used this event to promote King James’ new Asia-Pacific exclusive, the Nike Air Max LeBron Ambassador IV. In detail, James and designer Jason Petrie visited the Nike Store in downtown Shanghai to discuss this new release. LeBron also participated in ball handling drills and played 5-on-5 with the camp attendees. View the photo recap in its entirety below.
