Nike Air Max LeBron VII Custom by Nyno + The Mayor

Posted: 02 Sep 2009 11:58 AM PDT

lebron-sic-5

Over the past month, we have spotted multiple, customized version of the Nike Air Max LeBron VII from various artist across the world. Until now, all of them have featured an erratic, multi-colored style that was designed by one artist from the respective city. However, the Paris tour stop in the More Than a Game Artist Series carousel brought about a totally different twist to the customization of the Air Max LeBron VII.

Unlike the previous Air Max LeBron VII custom styles, the Paris version contains three different pair which were designed by two artists named ‘Nyno’ and ‘The Mayor’. As for the makeup, all three colorways were simply inspired by attributes in the Paris neighborhoods such as city streets, lights and colors. Specifically, the red and black colorways symbolize the Pigalle area and its dark alleyways and neon lights. In addition, the green pair was supposedly made in honor of the youthful energy of daily life in Paris. It is also very interesting how the colorways tie into LeBron James himself. The red stands for LeBron’s theatrical way of playing, while the black represents his elegance. Last but not least, the green focuses on James’s youth. Is the Paris rendition the best of all the artist collaborations? Click here to view the three-page collection in its entirety.

SB’s second-in-line Stefan Janoski’s own sneaker will drop in “Earth Red.” Rounding out the group is a black and navy Zoom Veloce.

With so many options in the next month, it may be hard to choose which you have to have and on which you have to pass. Which are you looking forward to most?

Nike Air Force 1 DJ Clark Kent

At the beginning of the week, we gave you a first look at DJ Clark Kent’s Nike Air Force 1 for the upcoming “East Vs West” Pack. The comment section was filled with both positive and negative remarks. The same can be said when we showed you photos of Eddie Cruz’s Nike Air Force 1 for the same pack. With that said, if you are one that was anticipating these sneakers, both are now available for pre-order at End.

Eddie Cruz’s Air Force 1 represents the ‘West’ region for the pack. As for the makeup, this shoe owns a purple reptile-like leather upper with yellow accents on the swoosh and heel tab. In addition, this Air Force 1 is finished with a red outsole. Obviously, the colorway is inspired by the Los Angeles Lakers color scheme. DJ Clark Kent’s Air Force 1, which represents the ‘East’ region, features more of a subtle style. Unlike the Eddie Cruz Air Force 1, this pair features a multiple textures on the base including leather, nubuck and ostrich. As stated earlier, you can now pre-order both at End.

New Alife for Fall

Posted: 02 Sep 2009 09:28 AM PDT

New Alife for FallNew York’s Alife is back for Fall 2009, remixing their Everybody Hi silhouette with new colors, prints and materials, as well as dropping a new design in the Everybody Mono Applique.

The Everybody Hi Hi-Lite, America’s Cup, Allover, Mono Applique and Mid suede, as well as the more formal chukka-style Chuck Shepard, are all online now at Alife. The Everybody may be a familiar design, but it looks like some there are some fresh takes on the way, whether you’re into the Everybody Hi Allover’s loud white-over-red leather print, or the clean lines of the Chuck Shepard.

As stated above, the Mono Applique is a new design for Alife. It sports a monotone design with vulcanized sole, and leather “alife” branding along the side. This design definitely echoes the skate shoes of old, keeping the lines clean and simple.

Click here for pics of the whole collection.
