| Distinct Life x New Balance 30 For 30: Day 5 (NB 501 Grey/Orange) Posted: 05 Jun 2011 01:32 PM PDT The New Balance 501 is obviously going to be a go-to sneaker for New Balance this summer. Throughout the Distinct Life x New Balance 30 For 30 series, we have seen some very intriguing colorways of this lightweight, breathable silhouette. Day 5 sees Rick Williams sporting a Grey/Orange colorway of the 501. In detail, grey suede runs along the midfoot, toe cap and heel panel, while nylon of the same color controls the majority of the upper. Minimal orange hints, on a small section of the midsole and on the tongue, work together with the white elements (laces, New Balance logo, midsole) to form a nice tri-colored 501. This pair, along with the ones seen on day 4 and day 1, will hit retailers in July. | This Day In Sneaker History: MJ Switches Hands in Mid Air During ’91 NBA Finals Posted: 05 Jun 2011 12:54 PM PDT “At first I saw a clear lane to the basket and I was going to dunk the ball, but I saw long-armed Sam Perkins in the way.” – Michael Jordan on classic move. What is Michael Jordan’s most memorable moment in the postseason? Better yet, what was he wearing doing these timeless, historic instances? Our ‘This Day In Sneaker History’ column highlighted MJ wearing the “Raptors” Air Jordan 7 when he pulled off his famous shoulder shrug during the 1992 NBA Finals; however, today’s installment is arguably at the top of everybody’s Jordan moments list and rightfully so. On this day, exactly 20 years ago, MJ came charging down the lane as if to dunk the ball with his right hand. At the last second, he switched the ball over to his left hand and gently laid it off of the glass. He showed his unmatched hangtime while wearing the Air Jordan 6 Black/Infrared, a shoe that has retroed twice (2000, 2010) since its original release in 1991. Is this the best sneaker moment in history for His Airness? | Nike Blazer Mid AB Spring Lineup Posted: 05 Jun 2011 12:27 PM PDT The Nike Blazer Mid AB is set to release in several vibrant colorways this spring. The Blazer Mid AB is a fairly new style, taking classic hints from the 1972 original Blazer and adding several updated details including a toe cap similar to the one found on the Nike All Court. Today, three new colorways have surfaced, each unique in its own way. The first pair features a white tumbled leather upper with green accents, while the second pair uses a reverse color combination with a predominately green suede upper and off-white accent. The third and final pair featured today makes use of a blue suede upper and white detailing, a perfect spring colorway. Not at all. A video of LeBron James’ sneaker closet has surfaced on the web, showing the wide array of sneakers in his closet. Specifically, the video sees James’ stylist showing viewers one of his tailored suits, but in the background you can see many of James’s sneakers. Midway through the video James walks into his closet with a pair of “True Blue” Air Jordan 3s, and there is also a shot at what seems to be a “Black History Month” colored Nike LeBron 8 right underneath the “Entourage” Nike LeBron 8 V2. | Nike LeBron 8 PS “2011 NBA Finals” – Game 3 Posted: 04 Jun 2011 04:39 PM PDT Following the Jordan Fly Wade "2011 NBA Finals" PEs we showed you earlier today, we now have detailed photos of the Nike LeBron 8 PS James will wear in game 3 of the 2011 NBA Finals. This particular pair is undoubtedly the most vibrant of the colorways we have seen him wear in the 2011 NBA Playoffs. It is predominately constructed of red Fuse technology and features various hits of yellow, black and white throughout the upper. Nike has stated that this new colorway of the LeBron 8 PS will be available in a limited quantity at select retailers. Is this the best LeBron 8 PS to date?
