This Week In Sneaks

Posted: 17 Apr 2010 11:28 AM PDT

This week, we received release date information on the Air Jordan 9 Retro White/University Blue. It is now scheduled to re-release on May 29th, 2010. Although it isn’t Powder Blue, who else is happy to see this sneaker return for the first time since its official release day?

Carmelo Anthony’s Jordan Melo M6 has not received as much attention as other signature sneakers such as the Nike Air Max LeBron VII, the Nike Zoom Kobe V and the Nike KD II; however many of you were impressed with Anthony’s black/yellow Jordan Melo M6 that he wore at the end of the 2009-2010 NBA regular season.

In addition to the white/university blue Air Jordan 9 Retros, Jordan Brand will also unleash the “Citrus” Air Jordan 9 Retro on July 3rd, 2010.

Following the Air Jordan 6 Retro “Detroit Pistons” that released today, Jordan Brand will soon release the Air Jordan 6 Retro “LA Lakers” on May 15th, 2010.

Nike Terminator High Basic

Nike Terminator High Basic

The high-top Nike Terminator has been spotted in two bright colorways for the Summer season, meaning you’ll have plenty of opportunities to sport blue, yellow and green.

The first pair utilizes a white base with yellow suede on the toe and heel areas. Blue leather helps on the Swoosh and again on the upper-ankle panel. Blue stitching helps offset the white midsole and black outsole. The second pair uses similar color blocking, but instead uses blue suede and lime green leather for its accents. Both pairs have landed overseas, but keep an eye out for a stateside drop soon.

Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Premium Black

The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski is all set to be upgraded in 2010. While we’ve seen canvas, wool and suede builds of this signature sneaker, premium leather will adorn it for the first time late this year.

Black premium tumbled leather is used for the entire upper on this pair, with matching stitching appearing all over. Black leather laces are in place at the midfoot, weaving through metal eyelets. A white vulcanized midsole with a black stripe works for contrast. Check for this pair to hit a skate shop near you in the coming months.

Nike Air Max LeBron VII “CavFanatic”

Posted: 16 Apr 2010 07:43 PM PDT

Although the Nike Air Max LeBron VII has released in coveted colorways such as the “Dunkman”, “All-Star” and “Cool Grey”, many of you have expressed your want of the colorways that are not set to release. A prime of example of us sneaker lovers wanting what we can’t have, right. Over the past month, LeBron VIIs such as the “Michael Jordan”, “Deion Sanders” and the “Hardwood Classic” have undoubtedly caught our attention. In addition, check out detailed photos of the “CavFanatic” Air Max LeBron VII.

If you recall, LeBron James wore this particular sneaker on two occasions this year: once against Kobe Bryant and the Lakers and the other time against the Wahington Wizards. It features a mainly wine-colored base constructed of leather (predominance of the base), flywire (side panels) and patent leather (toe area). Gold accents, appearing on the swoosh border and various LeBron James branding, offset the wine color very nicely. How does this “CavFanatic” LeBron VII rank amongst previous LeBron VIIs we have seen? Click here to view detailed photos.

Nike Air BW Gen II "True Colors" Pack

The Dunk High AC was one of the selected silhouettes for Nike’s World Cup Packs, with France, Holland and Brazil all getting their own colorway. The Air BW Gen II has also been designed for those teams, as seen in detail for the first time now.

All three rely on white Torch for a healthy portion of their respective builds, which are also all monochromatic. France gets blue, Holland orange and Brazil is all white. The Free/Air hybrid sole mixes white and grey, with the French pair using a slightly lighter shade of grey. White Swooshes also appear on all three. They’ve landed overseas at atmos, but keep your eyes out for an American release soon.

Air Jordan 1 Phat 20

The Air Jordan 1 has been seen in a countless number of colorways and special treatments. From the OG “Bred” to the “Foamposite” look, numerous retros have garnered a healthy amount of attention. This time, the Air Jordan 20 serves as inspiration, lending its signature laser engraved look to two different colorways for May.

The second shoe is white mostly, with hits of red and black on the ankle and heel, respectively.
