New Balance 1500 Red/Grey & Grey/Blue Posted: 06 Jul 2010 11:58 AM PDT The last New Balance 1500 to release came in the form of the well-received “Desert Storm” release. Although we have yet to see a New Balance release top the “Desert Storm” this year, we have spotted two more New Balance 1500s that are now available at select retailers worldwide. The pair shown above is predominately structured using red suede. Grey mesh areas, such as the toe box and tongue provide a nice texture/color contrast, while an off-white colored midsole adds a subtle finishing touch. The second pair, a New Balance 1500 we showed you in a preview at the beginning of the year, features the same texture makeup, yet it owns a primarily grey base with navy blue hints; it too is complimented by an off-white sole. Look for these 1500s to hit stateside retailers soon. Posted: 06 Jul 2010 11:28 AM PDT It was months ago that we confirmed the retro release of the “Grape” Nike Air Max 95. Now the race to grab your own pair can begin, as 21 Mercer has received their shipment and has them for sale now. Like so many classic colorways of the 95 that we’ve seen this year, this look is pretty true to OG. The white midsole works with the gradient upper, which transitions into a black midfoot, complete with black 3M. Teal lace hoops work with the purple tongue and Swoosh, as well as the teal Max Air bags below, to break up the simple greyscale upper. Check with your local retailer if you’re after a pair, as they’re hitting select Nike retailers soon. Bespoke Nike Air Force 1 by Mafia Posted: 06 Jul 2010 10:58 AM PDT Yesterday, we showed you teaser images of Edison Chen’s Bespoke Nike Air Force 1 that should surface soon. While await the full photos, we have spotted another interesting Bespoke creation designed by Mafia from Sneaker Freaker Magazine. Mafia chose to construct a rather interesting Air Force 1 that features an array of textures and multiple colors. A beige, off-white suede-like material is spotted on the toe area and along the midfoot, while a softer, buttery suede is seen on the heel panel colored in grey. However, the pinkish-red hints, namely on the swoosh border, laces and tongue, are the most intriguing aspects. Additionally, the same color is coupled with white to make paint splatter-like design on the tongue logo and heel tab. Other features include a metallic silver toe box, a white midsole and a translucent outsole. What are your thoughts on Mafia’s design? View detailed photos below.
