adidas Superstar Reflective

adidas Superstar Reflective

Stripes and stripes and stripes and stripes! Adidas built itself on the Superstar, sewing a few strips of material to the upper of a leather low top. And for this latest release, they may have lost count of their stripes, covering the shoes with them entirely.

At first appearance, these appear to just use silver and black alternating stripes, but they’re actually made with 3M reflective material. The material really shines in car headlights or a picture flash, as seen here. Like so many Superstars over the years, these combine a white shell toe and midsole. No word on when or if these will be available.

Click here to see a pic of the reflective effect in action.

Lanvin High Trainer

Lanvin High Trainer

When we showed you the Lanvin Footwear Spring 2009 Collection earlier this year, the majority of you did not show too much of an interest in these high-fashioned sneakers. However, Lanvin is set to release four subtle colorways of the High Trainer for the fall/winter season.

This four-sneaker grouping features materials ranging from jersey felt to calfskin to suede. In addition, all of the sneakers are finished with rubber soles and own metal laceholders. The colorways, which possess a predominance of grey, are ideal for the upcoming season. No word on when these High Trainers will release; meanwhile, click here to view the lineup in its entirety.

Jordan Spizike Black Patent

Posted: 14 Oct 2009 11:58 AM PDT

Jordan Spizike Black Patent

Yesterday we got a look at the Jordan Spizike Black/White-Infrared, which was rumored to have been designed by DJ Clark Kent and then later confirmed to have no real connection. Today, we have this patent leather version, which thankfully hasn’t been linked to anyone but MJ and Spike.

These are absolutely slathered in black patent leather. From the ankle on down to the toes, this shiny black material is present. The toe piece looks to be made of solid black suede, while a laser print is used on the heel section. Breaking up the black are both the liner, which is red and features print, and a white plastic grate from the Jordan V. The Air bubble sole from the Jordan III isn’t covered in patent, but it has been done up with a black shiny coating.

These are expected to drop Spring 2010. How do these compare to the other Spizikes we’ve seen, like the one above or the Black and Cement Greys we saw awhile back?

Nike Air Max Classic BW Matte Silver/Challenge Red

Posted: 14 Oct 2009 11:28 AM PDT

Nike Air Classic BW

This year, we have not seen the Air Max Classic BW in many colorways as opposed to previous years. However, we have just spotted a new Classic BW colorway at JD Sports.

It contains a predominately white matte silver upper with minimal black accents on the heel, toe area and outsole. It also features dashes of challenge red on the tongue (Nike tag logo) and in the form of the swoosh. To finish it off, this sneaker is complimented with a white midsole and a clear visible air sole unit. Click here for detailed photos.

Puma Clyde

Puma Clyde

As far as classic sneakers go, the Puma Clyde is arguably one of the most influential silhouettes ever. From their on-court start for Walt Frazier to their presence in old school hip-hop and b-boy culture, these Pumas are still around for a reason.

Two new color-ups dropped recently, with both solid green and solid grey suede uppers. The Puma arch design appears in matching colors on both pairs, and the gold foil logo and text. White liners match the soles, and of course the fat laces are present, too. Both are available now.

How do these compare to the brighter Clydes “Bring Backs” we got a look at this last Summer?

Converse Weapon EVO

Posted: 14 Oct 2009 10:28 AM PDT

Converse Weapon EVO

In the mid-80’s, Converse released one of the more memorable basketball sneakers to ever grace the hardwood in the form of the Converse Weapon. This shoe, backed by Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and others, undoubtedly put Converse on the basketball map. However, more than 20 years later, Converse has officially released an up-to-date version of the aforementioned classic dubbed the Converse Weapon EVO.

Obviously, the EVO possesses some of the same characteristics as the original Weapon, namely the timeless Star Chevron logo on the side panels. Its silhouette, which is comprised of a 100% full grain leather, was created and manufactured to provide the player with a long-lasting, battle-tested sneaker. Check your nearest Converse retailer to purchase a Weapon EVO colorway for $80. Click here to view multiple colorways.

Converse CTS

Posted: 14 Oct 2009 09:58 AM PDT

Converse CTS

These stone grey CTS’s may be some of the cleanest Chucks we’ve seen in a while, coming in this time as a skate-specific low top variant. Decked out in suede and sitting on a white sole, these are keeping things simple and to the point.

Extra padding separates the CTS from the standard low-top All-Star. Both the tongue and ankle surround have a nice layer of protective and comfortable stuffing to help skaters out. We saw a collaboration Converse did with Woolrich on the high-top Chuck a few days ago and the reception was warm, but how do these in-house Converse compare?

Head to the comments section and weigh in on these skate-ready, suede-drenched Cons.
