Nike Dunk Low CL Canvas

Posted: 05 May 2010 12:28 PM PDT

Nike Dunk Low CL Canvas

You’re eyes don’t deceive you. These Nike Dunk Low CLs are a nearly identical to the lighter grey pair we saw some time ago, which have been nothing short of a hit. And if you’re now thinking of the black pair we featured, nope–wrong again. This fresh sneaker may be simply the newest in a line of gingham-lined canvas Lows, but it is still likely to be a hot commodity in stores when it releases.

Dark grey canvas is used for the entire upper, with the exception of the midsole-matching white leather Swoosh. Blue branding is put to work on the heel and tongue, which is matched up with the gingham liner. Is this pair the best of the three we’ve seen?

Jordan Rare Air Detailed Look

Posted: 05 May 2010 11:58 AM PDT

The comment section was filled with compliments and insults regarding this new silhouette dubbed the Jordan Rare Air. We now have additional, detailed photos of this new Jordan hybrid; therefore, what is the final verdict on the soon-to-be-released Jordan Rare Air?

In addition to the Air Jordan signature line details we pointed out last time we showed you this sneaker, these new detailed photos reveal more elements on the Jordan Rare Air. For example, the Air Jordan III inspired, translucent heel tab seems to feature a cement print-like design to coincide with multiple sections of cement print throughout the base. It also seems as if the Jordan Rare Air owns a mainly white pebbled leather as opposed to regular leather. To finish the Jordan Rare Air off, a grey/black speckled midsole and a black outsole is applied. As stated in the previous post pertaining to this sneaker, the Jordan Rare Air is set to release some time during this upcoming holiday season. View detailed photos below.

Nike SB Blazer & Dunk Mid Pro “Dirty Money”

Posted: 05 May 2010 11:28 AM PDT

Nike SB Blazer & Dunk Mid Pro "Dirty Money"

Later this year, Nike SB will release a Dunk for “Iron Man 2,” paying homage to the namesake superhero’s suit with its colorway. SB will also release a set of sneakers designed for its own movie, “Dirty Money,” with these Blazers and Dunk Mid Pros. We saw that this pack was revealed at the documentary’s premiere, but it looks as though a limited number will make their way to Brazilian retailers’ shelves.

The Dunk shows an all purple upper, with canvas and suede combining for the construction of the upper. A bit of leather appears on the Swoosh, as well. The blazer uses a similar two-tone approach with grey leather and canvas. Black suede also appears on the toe and heel panels. Special dollar symbol branding for the movie is used on the dubraes of both and the heel of the Blazer. One of the elements most commented on when we first saw these kicks was the two-tone laces that appear on both. Does this look help or hurt the simple designs each maintains?

KAWS Calls Nike Bespoke “Fake KAWS”

Posted: 05 May 2010 10:58 AM PDT

KAWS Calls Out Nike Bespoke Option

Renowned artist KAWS is not happy with the Nike Bespoke program.  Today on his blog, KAWS posted an article titled “NIKE BESPOKE = FAKE KAWS SHOES (again)” to air out his dislike for the baseball stitching option available on the Nike Air Force 1 in the Bespoke program.

In 2008 as part of the Nike Sportswear 1WORLD Campaign, a limited number of KAWS x Nike Air Force 1s were released to friends and family that did in fact feature the criss-cross stitching, but what KAWS fails to recall is that this aesthetic feature was used by Nike before on the New York Cubans Air Force 1 that was part of the Untold Truth Pack that released on February 4, 2006.

The greater irony of the situation would perhaps be the fact that while Nike was releasing Nike Air Force 1’s in 2006 featuring the baseball stitching, KAWS had his own makeups of the Bape Sta releasing – a clear design rip of the AF1 itself.

While KAWS may be in his own league of art and design, when it comes to calling out style jacks, this is sounding much like a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Nike Air Max Hyperize Chris Bosh PE

Posted: 05 May 2010 10:28 AM PDT

Nike Air Max Hyperize Chris Bosh PE

During the 2009-2010 NBA regular season, our Kicks On Court spotted Toronto Raptors star Chris Bosh wearing the Nike Huarache 2010 and the Nike Hyperize. However, we did not see him sport his Nike Air Max Hyperize PE once this season.

Bosh’s Air Max Hyperize PEs coincide perfectly with the Toronto Raptors jerseys as its color scheme is comprised of white, black and red. Specifically, the flywire design is done up in black with red stitching and the predominance of the upper is colored in white. Bosh’s nickname, CB4, appears on the tongue in red. It seems as if most of the players prefer the Hyperize over the Air Max Hyperize. In addition to this Chris Bosh PE, we have spotted detailed photos of Richard Jefferson and Pau Gasol’s Air Max Hyperize PEs; yet, we see them wearing its predecessor, the Nike Hyperize, on court. View additional photos below.

Jordan Flight 9

Posted: 05 May 2010 09:58 AM PDT

Jordan Flight 9

The Jordan Flight 9 has been yet another sneaker from JB that divides readers. While some have taken to its hybrid looks in certain colorways, the “Olympic” looks has only been received negatively. This new design draws its looks from one of the most prized Jordans ever, and while it won’t draw the attention of the actual Air Jordan 3 “True Blue,” is this a Flight 9 that will convert those who dislike this silhouette?

Grey suede wraps around the lower area of the upper and up to the collar on the heel tab. It also appears on the tongue. A white leather upper works with a mostly white midsole to provide a neutral look, while a True Blue midsole shows white speckles. Red accents appear throughout, including the MJ on the Dream Team-inspired “9″ on the tongue. Grab them now at Finish Line.
