Vans SK8-Hi “Goatskin” Pack

Posted: 28 Apr 2009 11:41 AM PDT

Vans SK8-Hi Goatskin Pack

Late last month, we showed you the Vans Vault "Goatskin" Pack, and those who commented really did not show a lot of interest. That may be because of the dull colorway it possesses, however, we have now spotted three colorways of the Vans SK8-Hi involving the goatskin material.

This Pack will consist of three colorways (red, blue and brown). All three feature a predominately suede upper mixed with goatskin and leather accents throughout the base. Other features include a white rubber sole, brown inner lining and a Vans tongue logo tag of the same color. Click here to view all three colorways.

Reebok Pump Omni Lite New York Knicks

Kicks On Court: Lakers Advance in Kobe IV Fashion

Posted: 28 Apr 2009 09:46 AM PDT

Kicks On Court

Throughout our Kicks On Court, we have spotted a few colorways of the Nike Zoom Kobe IV worn by Bryant himself, along with other players from different teams. However, lately, Kobe Bryant and his supporting cast have been sporting the Kobe’s latest signature sneaker as a ‘team shoe’ (if you will).

Since the beginning of the playoffs, Los Angeles Lakers such as Lamar Odom and Trevor Ariza have been taking part in the Kobe craze. In game 5 of the Utah Jazz-Los Angeles Lakers series Odom and Ariza laced up the ‘Home’ colorway of the Kobe IV, while Bryant himself sported the ‘Playoff’ PE colorway. Nike Air Trainer 1 Pinstripe

Posted: 28 Apr 2009 09:17 AM PDT

Nike Air Trainer 1 PinstripeThanks to Nike, Joakim Noah has a reason to bring back that NBA Draft Day Seersucker suit when the Chicago Bulls finish off the Celtics. Nike has created some matching red Seersucker Air Trainer 1’s that surfaced last week and has now arrived at additional retailers.

The Nike Air Trainer 1 Pinstripe is the second pinstripe rendition from Nike in as many months, if you recall we saw the Air Max 1 drop last month. The usually Velcro strap has been ditched in favor of a suit-like button strap for a nice touch.

Look for these in Tier 0 accounts this weekend or online at RMK.

Nike Air Max Trainer 90

Posted: 27 Apr 2009 03:05 PM PDT

Nike Air Max Trainer 90Hybrid sneakers are nothing new. Technologies and styles have been mashed together countless times in an effort to find out what sneakerheads want. Plus 41 and Cellophane decided to create their own hybrid sneaker in hopes that Nike would catch on and return the favor.

Their concept is the Nike Air Trainer 90, of course the most classic colors were combined to form a nice combination of white, black, Infrared and grey. The Air Trainer and the Air Max 90 are classics, so by combining the two, you are either creating a new classic, or destroying two. Which is it?

Click here to let us know what you think of these.

The latter sneaker possesses the word, Solebox on the tongue while the other sneaker features the word Hypebeast on the tongue. Stay tuned for more info.

Hats off to Hype Beast and their crew. The blogs have come a long way in the past three years and it’s great to see our names on upcoming collabs.

Nike Hyperize “White Men Can’t Jump” Pack

Posted: 27 Apr 2009 11:16 AM PDT

Nike Hyperize

Without a doubt, the Nike Hyperdunk took the hardwood by storm this basketball season. However, the Hyperdunk 2.0, officially known as the Nike Hyperize, is sure to make just as big of an impact this summer. Obviously, the Nike Hyperize will release in a few basic colorways, however, we have now spotted an upcoming Nike Hyperize Pack inspired by one of America’s favorite movies.

Inspired by the 1992 film White Men Can’t Jump, this pack consists of two fresh Hyperize colorways. One pair, drawing inspiration from Wesley Snipes’s character Sidney Deane contains a primarily black upper with multiple laser blue and red details throughout the base. If you recall, Sidney Deane’s basketball gear contained plenty colors on the Venice Beach playground. In addition, Woody Harrelson’s character Billy Hoyle is represented by the predominately white Hyperize. It possesses minimal neon accents throughout the base as well. However, one of the more interesting features on Billy Hoyle’s PE (if you will) is the tongue logo which reads, “I’m in the F*#@!ng Zone!”. If you recall, this was one of Hoyle’s memorable lines in the film. Stay tuned for release date info.  Click here to view detailed photos.

Standard x DC Shoes Admiral Hightop

Two weeks ago, we showed you the collaboration design between BLENDS and DC LIFE on the Admiral Hi. Many of you stated that it was a very sick design. In the same manner we have now spotted a joint effort between Standard and DC Shoes on the same sneaker.

This shoe was designed in lieu of Standard’s official second location opening on Lenox Square. Inspired by the heavy red accents seen at both store locations, the Admiral Hi contains a 100% true red leather upper combined with a white rubber sole. Other details include perforated side panels, green custom shoelaces (drawing inspiration from the artificial turf that covers the floor at the new store) and a silver DC logo tag to the left of the side panels. Kicks On Court: Melo Laces Up New Colorway of Melo M5

Posted: 27 Apr 2009 07:40 AM PDT

Kicks On Court

It seems Chris Paul’s Jordan CP3.II has overshadowed Carmelo Anthony’s Jordan Melo M5 this season. Many anticipated Paul’s second signature sneaker more than Carmelo’s latest shoe. However, our Kicks On Court spotted Anthony in a fresh colorway of the Jordan Melo M5 in game 4 of the New Orleans Hornets-Denver Nuggets series.

This particular colorway features a primarily black upper with minimal yellow accents throughout the base. It also contains Anthony’s initials throughout the side panels as an added feature. Is this the best colorway seen on the Jordan Melo M5? Better yet, is his signature shoe better than Chris Paul’s Jordan CP3.II? Click here to view more kicks worn by LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul and others.

Jordan CP3.II “Hulk”

Posted: 27 Apr 2009 07:16 AM PDT

Jordan CP3.II HulkAt 6 feet tall Chris Paul may look like your average Bruce Banner off of the court, but just like the Hulk, when he sets foot on the court its a whole different story. Its that beast-like game play has inspired the latest “Hulk” colorway of the CP3.II.

This Jordan CP3.II “Hulk” features the most unique mix of materials we’ve seen on the CP3.II thus far. Jordan mixes up white patent leather and denim, and touches it up with Mean Green contrasting stitching and accents. As for performance, if you read our CP3.II Performance Review, you already know how well these kicks dominate on the court.

Look for this Quickstrike to be arriving at select Jordan accounts soon. Detailed shots after the break.
