| Air Jordan 7 “For the Love of the Game” Release Date Change Posted: 24 Jul 2010 08:15 PM PDT We have just learned that the highly-anticipated Air Jordan 7 “For the Love of the Game” will now release on August 13th, 2010 as opposed to August 7th, 2010, its original date. This comes as no surprise considering the majority of the big Jordan Brand releases seem to carry at least one release date change these days. The Air Jordan 7 “For the Love of the Game” will hit select retailers worldwide as a quickstrike release on a Friday. However, the quantity of this release, along with the specific locations, have yet to surface. Stay tuned as more information should release soon. Also spotted are a new runner sample and a proven sneaker in an awesomely American look. Scroll through the team’s picks and see with which Nice Kicker you best identify and agree. George Kiel I have never been a big fan of the Jordan 6 Rings model; however, this particular color scheme on this shoe is the best I’ve seen so far. It kind of reminds me of the “Green Bean” Air Jordan 5s. In addition to the all-3M upper, the icy blue outsole adds a nice touch of cleanliness. Over a month ago, initial photos of the SSUR x Converse Pro Leather 76 Hi surfaced and reactions were positive. The pair features an all black premium suede upper, crackled leather lace eyelets, laces, midsole, and outsole. Gold accents, used on the tongue, heel tab, and lace locks, add a nice touch to this collaboration. This pair is now available at Havenshop. | H-Town Sneaker Summit Summer 2010 Posted: 23 Jul 2010 02:28 PM PDT The final details have been revealed for the summer’s hottest sneaker event. The official press release for the H-Town Sneaker Summit Summer 2010 came out today unveiling a star studded lineup. Leading off is the legendary D’wayne Edwards, Footwear Design Director at Jordan Brand. D’Wayne is the driving force behind the Future Sole Competition as well as the designer of signature models for the likes of Carmelo Anthony, Derek Jeter, and Michael Jordan himself. Next up is Dante Ross, consultant for Pro Keds and Marketing Director for Famous Stars and Straps Footwear. Dante is a vet in the game who’s work spans from producing for De La Soul to creating The Terry Kennedy Show. Rounding out the cast is Nick Diamond, founder of Diamond Supply Co. and mastermind behind the Nike SB “Tiffany” Dunk. The event will have tons of giveaways and auctions. As always it is a great way to see awesome collections and meet other people with the same passion for sneakers. This event will also include the presentation of the Bespoke Nike Air Force One for the late Reggie Holloway.
