Nike Dunk High October 2009 Releases

Some new Dunk High’s are now available at Proper and other stores. The Dunks on the left feature a black/plum colorway with metallic silver accents representing the "East" on the tongue. While the Dunks on the right come in a goldenrod/grey colorway and striped back panel. Both dunks are now available at a Nike retailer near you. [ShoeGame]

Nike Sportswear Air Max 90 Premium LE Spring 2010

Last week, we showed you the 2009 holiday lineup of the Nike Air Max 90 in which many of you expressed your anticipation for certain colorways. However, looking further into the future, we have now spotted an Air Max 90 set to release in the spring of 2010.

This particular Air Max 90 will be an official Nike Sportswear release during next year. It features an abundance of colors on the upper to say the least. Navy Blue and white smothers most of the base, while red and royal blue accents appear throughout the rest of the upper. However, one of the more glaring features on this shoe is the gold visible Air sole unit. What are your thoughts on this Air Max 90 colorway? Click here to view detailed photos.

Complex Presents: The Ones That Didn’t Make the Cut

Any time a list of sneakers is put together, there are sure to be ones that shouldn’t be there, ones that should, and a whole lot of controversy. When we presented Complex’s 100 Best Sneakers of the 2000’s list, a lot of you scoffed not only at the order they put their list in, but also at the sneaks that got left off.

Well, the team at Complex has followed up their list with this list of “10 Sneakers That Didn’t Make the Cut.” Cool Greys, Gazelle Skates and a certain Huarache make appearances, and the list sheds a little light on the list-making process. Converse Jack Purcell Raceround Mid

Lately, Converse has been updating and applying various styles to its sneakers such as the Weapon EVO Low, and the Chuck Taylor “Felt” Pack. However, Converse is now introducing a new silhouette from the Jack Purcell lineup dubbed the Raceround Mid.

The Jack Purcell Racearound model is nonetheless a nice, simple yet stylish model. It owns a high cut design and is smothered in black leather. Other features include white contrast stitching throughout the base, tonal shoelaces and a white vulcanized rubber sole. As stated earlier, this Raceround Mid is now available at Cali Roots. Air Jordan Blase Mid

As Michael moves further from his UNC-undershorts days and further into his suit-and-tie days, it’s fitting that Jordan Brand is moving along with some non-performance sneakers, including this Blase Mid silhouette.

Reviews have been mixed on the AJ L’Style One, which uses the same sole as this new model, only in white. The Blase uses a solid black make-up, adding to its formal appeal. Again, the black leather looks premium, and a black-on-black print is used along the side, a la the Jordan XXIII. There’s a strap as well, also draped in black leather.

Is this a good move for JB? As the sneakerheads who grew up during Jordan’s heyday mature, is it only fitting their sneakers do too?

Nike Blazer Mid Premium “Godzilla” Detailed Photos

Last week, we showed you the upcoming Nike Blazer “Godzilla” Pack, and the majority of you stated that the green/red colorway was much more better than the simple-designed black pair. With that said, we have decided to supply you with the detailed photos of your favorite Blazer from the aforementioned pack.

This particular Blazer is scheduled for a November 2009 release; however, it would probably coincide with some of your Halloween costumes for this upcoming October. Furthermore, the colorway can also be associated with the holiday season as well. It features a green crocodile skin upper with red accents in the form of the shoelaces, inner lining and contrast stitching on the black swoosh. Custom Nike RT1 for Chris Paul’s Winston-Salem Charity

Michigan’s own custom sneaker prodigy T. Way went into the lab and cooked up some new customs for NBA star Chris Paul. Inspired by CP3’s immaculate skill set, T. Way transformed a pair of the all-white Nike RT1’s into a New Orleans-laced colorway that depicts Paul’s vision, heart, and smarts.

The shoe is currently showcased at Grand Rapid’s All City Kicks Boutique, the store that donated the RT1’s to T. Way. However, this sneaker will be auctioned off at the CP3 Winston-Salem Charity event next week. For more photos of these custom RT1’s and a video on T. Way’s creative process click the jump.

Adidas TS Cut Creator for Derrick Rose

For the reigning Rookie of the Year, life is good. As a budding star, Rose led the down-and-out Chicago Bulls to the Eastern playoffs, taking the then-reigning champions Boston Celtics to 7 games before falling. And for 2009-2010, Rose will be seen on court in these Adidas TS Cut Creators.

Chauncey Billups will likely play in the same sneaks in a Denver colorway, which may limit the exclusivity of these for Rose, but it can’t be considered an insult to wear the same pair as one of the best veteran PGs in the game. Working with Chicago’s colors, these Adidas use a black upper, accented by a red midsole and white outsole. The sole also features Foremotion technology, and a these should breathe well, thanks to the large vent on the outside of the ankles. Last year Rose battled it out against then-rookie sensation OJ Mayo in our Kicks on Court ROY Candidate face-off in the TS Creator, and it looks like he’ll be seen in the newest Adidas release this year.

Adidas may not have too many basketball fans, but these are a solid sneaker for hoopers. Are these the sneaker that can change it all for the 3-Stripes? Make sure to be on the lookout for Rose’s TS’s and other NBA All-Stars’ PE’s in the 2009-2010 season of Kicks on Court.

Jordan 60+ Laney High School

As an honor to Michael Jordan’s high school, this particular sneaker takes elements from the Air Jordan I, Air Jordan II, Air Jordan V, and Air Jordan VII with White leather upper and accents of royal Blue and varsity Maize. Jay-Z might have said he was off Timberlands, but he was clearly fronting. Hov showed up to the MTV VMA’s this past weekend wearing some standard black-on-black 6′ Premiums. Who else showed up wearing the same boot? His lil’ brother and award show stage-crasher Kanye West. The Roc was definitely in the building, and reppin’ the classic boots, but who wore them better? Air Force Friday

Today’s Air Force Friday is like none other before it. Why, you might ask? This particular one is different because it was chosen by Nathan Crawford, a Nice Kicks reader and Air Force One lover; this is his story.

Nathan Crawford is a reader from North Kingstown, Rhode Island. His favorite Air Force One is the Premium London Edition. Nathan first fell in love with the shoe while flipping through an issue of a basketball magazine that featured an article on Deron Williams. In one of the pictures, Deron was wearing the Premium London Forces, and he felt that he automatically had to have them seeing that Deron Williams is his favorite point guard. As soon as Nathan put the magazine down, he immediately hopped on eBay in order to find them. After searching for some time, he found them for a price to steep for him at the time: $165. However, he had to have them, so he broke down and bought them. Since then, he has only rocked them once.

Release Reminder: Jordan 60+ “Laney High School”

Following last month’s release of the Jordan 60+ Black/White-Varsity Red, Jordan Brand is set to release second installment of the 60+ model in the form of this “Laney High School” colorway. Check your nearest Jordan Brand retailer tomorrow, September 19th, 2009 for this 60+ colorway.

This particular sneaker draws most, if not all, of its inspiration from the infamous Air Jordan 5 Retro “Laney High School”. With that said, this 60+ also pays tribute to Michael Jordan’s high school. This hybrid, which takes elements from the the Air Jordan I, the Air Jordan II, the Air Jordan V and the Air Jordan VII, owns a predominately white leather upper with royal blue and varsity maize accents throughout the upper. Likewise, the sole features the same colors. As stated earlier, check your nearest Jordan retailer for this sneaker tomorrow.

Nike Air Safari 87 Retro

The Nike Air Safari 87 made history, introducing a brand new design that we still see 22 years later. In the recent “Decades Pack,” a Hyperize was given the Safari treatment as a tribute to the revolutionary running sneaker. Tributes are a great way to pay homage to this Nike, but the best way is with a 2009 Retro release for the holiday season.

The Safari will drop in two colors–the OG orange/black/safari, and a newer grey/black/safari. One detail that’s changed is the stitching. On the OG model, all the stitching was done in black, whereas the retro features yellow threads, highlighting the swoosh against the matching black upper. On the other colorway, grey safari print is used and the stitching is done in bright orange, matching its outsole.

Adidas Consortium Rod Laver Collection Pt. 2

A couple of weeks ago, we showed you one of the more highly-detailed collections from Adidas this year in the Consortium Rod Laver Collection Pt. 2. The majority of you positively commented on your personal favorite from this collection. With that said, the entire Rod Laver Collection Pt. 2 will be available at Proper on September 19th, 2009.

Adidas called upon the efforts of five collaborators for this collection including Wood Wood, D-Mop, Solebox, CLOT and Goodfoot. Each artist designed a Rod Laver model in their own resepctive way. Obviously, a plethora of materials and textures were used such as pony hair, wool, nubuck among others. As stated earlier, the entire collection will release at Proper tomorrow, September 19th.

Major Jordan Brand 2009 Holiday Releases

Unless you have been living under a rock, you know that Jordan Brand has some rather big releases for the 4th quarter of 2009 as always. Over the past month, we have informed you of the soon-to-be-released Air Jordan 12 “Rising Sun”, the Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game”, the Air Jordan 12 White/Red and the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam”. However, we now have the official release dates for each one of these mega releases (shown here).

Which sneaker is the best 4th quarter release in your opinion? That is a debate that may last until the end of this year; yet, the “Space Jam” seems to be the most talked-about sneaker since we first informed you of its upcoming release.
