Nice Kicks Staff Picks Week 24

Posted: 27 Feb 2009 03:05 PM PST

Nice Kicks Staff PicksThe last week of February brought us some rather interesting news about a variety of sneakers. Sneakers such as Kanye West’s 997.5s, a fresh, new colorway of the Jordan Dub Zero and Ray Allen’s Air Jordan 2009 PE all made major headlines. Even Lil’ Penny strolled through the office to break down the Nike Air 1/2 Cent.

With that said, our Nice Kicks staff had plenty of choices to choose from. Click the photo to read the analysis of our staff picks for week 24. What was your favorite sneaker of the week?

The Good, The Bad, The Fugly Week 23

We had to leave this week’s fugly choice off of our regular news because we were concerned many of you may not return if we showed it to you without calling it what it is. There were a lot of good kicks this week, so The Good, The Bad, The Fugly took a little negotiating. We passed on shoes like the Cement Jordan Phat Low and a fresh new colorway of the Jordan CP3 II.

Let us know what your Good, Bad, and Fugly choices were for the week in the comment section.

The Good

Supra Skytop Wrinkle Grey Suede

The Good was this off the hook colorway of the Supra Skytop. The wrinkle grey suede make-up is just crazy, combining that with the Skytop silhouette that seems to look good in almost every colorway makes it irresistible. You can almost just feel the softness of that suede can’t you?

Patta x Asics Gel Lyte Speed Release Reminder

Patta teamed with Asics to drop some fresh kicks this weekend. You can cop the kicks, that come with a matching backpack from SneakersnStuff tomorrow for about €140 ($178).

The three artists that were called upon for the Patta x Asics GEL Lyte Speed collab are Eric Elms (purple colorway), Parra (red colorway), and Delta (black colorway). Is there anything better than a dope artist designing some fresh kicks?

Thanks to DailyDrop for the info.

Nike Huarache ‘09 CB4 Chris Bosh PE

Posted: 27 Feb 2009 02:38 PM PST

Nike Huarache '09 CB4 Chris Bosh PEThree months ago we showed you the Nike Hyperdunk CB4, Chris Bosh’s PE, and many of you thought is was one of the better colorways seen on the Hyperdunk. With that said, you will more than likely feel the same way about his signature Huarache ‘09 CB4. We have now spotted Bosh’s Huarache PE at SVP Sports.

The Huarache ‘09 Bosh PE features a CB4 logo on the ankle area in black block letters. The rest of the sneaker’s upper features a predominately white base with red accents on the side panels, tongue, heel and sole. It is hard to accept someone else being nicknamed CB4 (Sir Charles Barkley), but we cannot ignore this fresh colorway.

Both pair (black, white) contain red accents on the sole, heel and tongue. However, the most glaring feature is the cement print design on the heel and toe area.
