Nike Trainer 1 Adrian Peterson PE Posted: 18 May 2009 12:50 PM PDT Last week, we spotlighted the debut of the Nike Trainer 1, and many of you were enamored by the silhouette. With that said, the Nike Trainer 1 is sure to be a success among many sneaker heads, to say the least. In addition, photos of Nike Trainer PEs are starting to hit the web. This particular PE, designed exclusively for Minnesota Vikings back Adrian Peterson, features a fresh purple (patent leather) and black color scheme on the upper. Minimal yellow accents also appear on the border of the swoosh and tongue. However, a couple of the more interesting features seen on this sneaker are the white/purple splatter design on the midsole and the yellow visible Air sole unit. Peterson will train in this particular sneaker for next year’s season. Will he be training alongside Brett Favre? What They Wore: Celebrity Sneaker Stalker Posted: 18 May 2009 11:52 AM PDT While you guys were watching the Lakers and the Magic sending the Rockets (sorry Houston fans) and Celtics packing, we were scouring the net for photos of celebrities rockin' your favorite kicks. The majority of pics come from Big Sean and Drake's concert in Detroit. While Large Sean rocked the 1st colorway of the Yeezy's, Drake went with the Jordan VIII's and even Wale made an appearance wearing the silver ½ Cents. Supra T.K. Society Release Party at SF2 Posted: 18 May 2009 11:30 AM PDT The Supra T.K. Society model is currently generating a lot of buzz, and rightfully so. This past Saturday (May 17th), Supra released the first two colorways of this sneaker (purple suede and black/red leather) internationally. Both pair are guaranteed to be on the pick-up list of many sneaker enthusiasts, to say the least. With that said, Terry Kennedy and the Supra family blessed six shops with an early, in-store release party; Houston, Texas’s SF2 was one the release party locations in which fans of all ages coming out to show support at SF2. B.O.B. x Reebok Classic Remix Collection Posted: 18 May 2009 11:00 AM PDT Reebok has teamed up with up-and-coming rapper B.O.B. to promote the third installment of its Classic Remix Collection set to drop on May 21st, 2009. This time, the Reebok collection will debut a one of its classic sneakers, the Reebok Classic, in a wet patent leather style. B.O.B. will take care of the music side of promoting the Reebok Classic Remix Collection by createing a 'remix' to a classic song (song is unknown at this time). The remixed track will only be available for download to customers who purchase footwear from the Classic Remix collection on March 21st, 2009. Nike “X-Men Origins” Pack Posted: 18 May 2009 10:37 AM PDT The X-Men Origins movie probably received the most buzz at the box office when it premiered. In lieu of that, Nike designed a two-sneaker pack inspired by the highly anticipated movie. The pack, involving a Nike Big Nike and a Nike Air Max ‘95, is now available on the online Nike store. The Nike Big Nike is obviously inspired by the Wolverine’s attire. It features a predominately yellow leather upper with multiple blue, black and red details throughout the base. On the other hand, the Nike Air Max ‘95 draws inspiration from Sabretooth’s clothing in the movie. Nike Hypermax “McFly” Posted: 18 May 2009 10:05 AM PDT Last week, we spotlighted the Nike Hypermax “Tennis Ball”, and many of you thought it was an absolutely amazing sneaker. In addition, we have now found photos of the Nike Hypermax “McFly”. Which one interests you the most? Similar to the Nike Hyperdunk “McFly”, this sneaker features the colorway inspirations of the Air Mag. However, it also possesses hot pink accents on the inner lining and the visible Air sole unit. Other features include a multi-colored Nike insole and a speckled midsole. Is this particular sneaker better than the Marty McFly Hyperdunk. Nike Zoom LeBron VI “MVP” Posted: 18 May 2009 09:01 AM PDT A couple of weeks ago, Nike released Zoom LeBron VI “MVP” on its online store. Although it sold out very quickly, you now have another chance to snag this instant classic. The Nike Zoom LeBron VI “MVP” will be available on May 30th, 2009 at House of Hoops. This particular shoe was created in honor of LeBron James being named the 2008-09 Most Valuable Player. It contains a predominately white upper with minimal black details throughout the base. One of the black details is seen in the form of block letter writing on the toe area (Witness). In addition, gold accents appear on the tongue logo and the ankle area. Along with the shoe, Nike has created a Nike Witness Tee ($30), while the shoe itself will retail for $150. Kicks On Court: Bryant Laces Up the “Playoffs” in Game 7 Posted: 18 May 2009 07:48 AM PDT Throughout the Western Conference semifinals, the Houston Rockets gave the Los Angeles Lakers all they could handle. However, yesterday afternoon, Kobe Bryant and the Lakers finally finished the Rockets off. With that said, our Kicks On Court spotted Bryant wearing a colorway of his latest signature shoe that was very fitting for this particular game. In the seventh and final game of the Houston Rockets-Los Angeles Lakers series, Kobe Bryant went back to lacing up the Nike Zoom Kobe IV “Playoffs”. Does he have to wear the “playoff” edition to actually remind the Lakers that they are actually in the playoffs?
